I'm so sick of hearing people say that they're getting flamed, when it's just constructive criticism. Somebody needed to put down the differences on the table for people, and you have. Yay! And I finally used that, "Put on the table" comment in my life. Yay again!

Like you said, the best way to react to a flame is either not react at all, or laugh your little ass off((Which was my choice when I got my first flame. One of my reviewers was even gnarly enough to email me trying to comfort me, even if I was amused by the flame instead.))

This chapter is the holy grail to reviews. Seriously.

Maybe you should put some stuff in about DID or Sakuras as my friends and I have dubbed them (normally girls that get constantly saved but never actually contribute aka usless)They got named that since it seems to be a curse of the name

I was also woundering if you had ever noticed the 'elemants' thing? It's where people get this idea that if your an alchemist then you have one elemant and you can only use that elemant unless your a spesial mary-sue that can use them all and has the same story as Ed and Al... Like Mustang can only use fire alchemy suposadly -rolls her eyes- it's pretty weird...

Oh gosh. The dreaded random Japanese. Okay, well, I'll hit myself, because I use random Japanese in a lot of my fanfics... BUT ONLY IF THEY TAKE PLACE IN JAPAN! FMA fanfics don't look right with the random Japanese. Because... THEY AREN'T JAPANESE! ... Technically. Lmao.

Again, I agree. An occasional misspelling is okay, because nobody is perfect and I don't expect anyone to be. But when EVERYTHING is misspelled? Yeah. Annoying. Very much so! Its like... TAKE A WRITING CLASS, PEOPLE! Gah! Anyways, I love how this is going. Humorous, helpful, educating. ^^

I can't even describe how much I agree with you.

I have nothing against homosexuals. One of my best guy friends is homosexual. And I have no problem with the occasional shounen-ai fluff, if it is a POSSIBLE and PROBABLE pairing. But yaoi? No way. And even if it's just tiny shounen-ai... in FMA? No! No! No! I can't think of ONE yaoi pairing in FMA that works. Of course, I'm a disgrace to the fangirls in a way because I get too logical and critical on pairings, but yeah. XD

Sorry, I got inspired to rant here. Got out the anger. I'm done. Lmao. XD

Anyways, this has been helpful so far, and fun to read. I'm not new to writing fanfiction in general, but I just started my first FMA fic (AlxOC! Because he rocks) and I'm really working hard on getting the plot down, intertwining it with the original FMA plot, and keeping OOC-ness and MS-ing out of it! ^^

That was...very informative. I knew all the stuff you were putting on there, but it was very entertaining to read, none the less. Especially the last chapter.

Unfortunately for me (in your terms, I guess), I haven't gotten flamed yet. If I do, though, I'll attempt not to stab someone with one of my knives during Culinary Arts or something, and head straight to that one chapter that you wrote (about reviews). Anyways, this has been a good fic, it caught my attention, and congrats on the awesome writing (I have been looking for good fanfics to read recently, and I was about to go insane when I saw several crappy ones out there). I'm really glad some n00bs have found this; it makes the fanficcing world a better place, it does, and it saved me from literally going crazy with all of the crappy fanfics out there (I stumbled across FIVE lemons this past week, and all were yaoi. (shudders)).

If you need any ideas on what to write for the next chapter, you can always write about plot development or something; it's something that I have a hard time doing, and some people just rush into the plot with no explanation, or they take so long to get it out that no one wants to read it, and drop the fic. It's just a suggestion, though. It would be awesome for me, though, and I would definitely read it. (Wow, I didn't know that I could have about 90 characters on a review. I'm going to use them all--jk, I wouldn't waste your time like that :). You can probably talk about OOCs. Those are annoying, too, and they're common in FMA fics--like Roy acting like a gay freak when he's STRAIGHT, DAMMIT!! or Ed acting all hyper-active or uncontrollably moody and emo-ish (even though he hasn't done anything out of the ordinary).

...my sister talks in her sleep too. It must be one of those younger sibling things. I swear, it's freaky when you say something, and they talk back to you, EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE ASLEEP! My younger sister started singing the pokemon theme song once, and it freaked us out.

Anyways, well-written, informative, witty, and it saves me from a good-fanfiction deprivement (if that even is a word). Keep up the good work, and keep writing!

Yay, another yaoi hater!
Yaoi is one of my favorite things to rant about. (I also like ranting about the planet Pluto, but that's not the point...)
Ed and Winry is the only pairing I like. I can never understand how anyone ever THOUGHT of Ed and Roy. *shivers at the thought* They freaking HATE each other...Same with Envy and Ed. So now, when people try to kill each other, it really means they're in LOVE? Did I miss something, because I always thought it was the other way around. When to people hate each other, they hate each other. I would know. I hate a LOT of people, most of them being yaoi fans, or people that I know that have no idea what yaoi is. (Those people are annoying in different ways.)
Okay, I will end my long reviewish thing now. All yaoi fans, please remember that everything i just said is meant in the nicest of ways!

Like you my glitch is RoyxED. The most they are is like father SON. Not...blegh... I have a yaoi absessed fangirl as a friend. And let me tell you it is HARD to keep my face straight when i hear her talk about it.

I actually had a long rant about the yaoi in FMA on my DA account. LONG. ABout the pairings and how damn bizarre they are. So illogical. And yes. Illogical-ness is VERY beautiful at times. But no with this kind of thing.

It kills me when practically EVERY FF I find is ROYxED. For every Ed/Winry one I find there are about 50 yaoi ones with him and the damn colonel.



BESIDES. Roy very CLEARLY loves RIZA HAWKEYE.
