It makes me extremely sad that I'll never read the rest of this story, because from what I've read so far it's fascinating, compelling and original. For what it's worth, Theodore strikes me as being the Spectator, but I could be way off the mark, without the others to try and judge by process of elimination.

My guess is that Nott is probably the Illusionist, though I cannot offer a rational explanation as to my reasoning. It's more of a hunch, anyway.

Pansy Parkinson and Milicent Bulstrode are possibilities for the others, as is Marcus Flint. Those are the only Slytherin names I can recall off-hand without consulting the books.

Theodore's past is... I can't describe it really. As a writer, I appreciate it. As a human... it rather makes me inclined to give the boy a hug, though heaven knows he doesn't need one.

I have no idea who the other three are. I'm only wondering if you'll use a few of the more forgotten Slytherins, like Tracey Davis. But I am still intrigued. Which I guess is a good thing.

What a phrase. Very chill-inspiring. It's like you've captured the thoughts and feelings of so many and expressed them in a way no one else could begin to pull off. Intriguing.

wOw. The beginning is amazing, especially the figurative language (all the similes were very compelling). But you had me at the summary- a Slytherin story is just what I'm looking for if it's coming from a superb author like you. =D

Thank you. I really love this piece. I will say that the effect of the spelling change has been to heighten the effect of the prologue for me. This chapter sent chills. The poor lad being cared for more by the house elves than his own father, and the seemingly damaged emotions are very disturbing. I would have liked to see a little more from him in way of responses to the sorting hat, but I can also see the effectiveness of the way you have it written.

My guesses: Theo is either illusionist or spectator. I could make arguments for either, but I am leaning more toward illusionist, as Nott seems to be hiding his emotions even from himself.

As to the other characters, I am guessing that Ms. Millicent Bulstrode will be one of them. I would venture to say that Zabini is a vague possibility, but not particularly likely given the clues you gave and his greater involvement in HBP.
