This is a really interesting beginning. There are some great ideas here, like Hogwarts being shut down and the school being sold to some rich American. Minerva's thoughts on the events were interesting to read, and I liked her conversation with Harry. The socks on the grave was a great touch and so was Harry's determination to live in Hagrid's hut. Great start!
