The regret, then hope, then urgency were so beautifully expressed. “Well, what if you aren’t completely satisfied with the person you have become?” he asked with a raise of his eyebrows. He was surprised at himself because he expected to say something much vaguer. Sara smiled at him and let out a sort of laugh. “Then you would be a normal human being. Isn’t that why we are always trying to better ourselves?” “Assuming we actually are trying to better ourselves.” And the conversation at the end of the story was perfect! Thank you for another well written story. I have to admit I am having so much fun reading yours that I am neglecting mine! oops! |
