| sushi 2008-03-10 ch 1, anon. | abuseI want them together so bad, and it seems with the one shots that theyre taking baby steps there... I loved how Chimera ended, understood why Blue betrayed her in the end, but I love seeing them together like this... More one shots please... = ) |
| Ivvic 2008-01-10 ch 1, | abuseIt astonishes me how great your work is. I was speaking to a friend of mine a couple weeks about LJ Smith's books, and remembered TTales, and my mind made its way to your works. Ryars Valley. The characters there have such depth to them. They take a life of their own in my imagination, playing in my dreams after I read one of your stories. You may have borrowed the Nightworld concept from LJ but this is definitely your own universe. Then a few days ago I got onto FFN after being off of it a long time, just browsing through my review history, seeing which stories I had favored. I found another of your stories that I had reviewed, recognized the name and had to go to your authors page to see what I could find. I was not disappointed. I'm thrilled to see that you've kept writing (the last date I saw was 7/07) and would encourage you to never stop, but I get the feeling that you couldn't stem such creativity. I can't wait to see what else you put forth. |
| Shelli 2007-08-19 ch 1, anon. | abuseThat was beautiful in a really disturbing way - kind of like Chimera was. Rather liking your current Blue/Toya oneshots, although I like the ones where Toya wins better, just cos it's fun to see someone wipe the smile off Blue's face. Well-rounded critique. Hm. I think your strongest writing is your dialogue and speech tags, and your strongest plotting is the way everything in Toya's life comes back to the death of Sonj. You maybe overdo the use of similes and metaphors slightly in descriptive passages, but that's my only criticism. Looking forward to your next piece, and hoping perhaps to see the return of Circle Strange. |
| ann 2007-08-17 ch 1, anon. | abuseas always, this story is perfectly written. I love the blue and chatoya stories and I hope they never end! This one especially, because it represents the complexity of their relationship and how far they have gone...or how little anything has changed. Your stories are excellent and I hope you never stop posting. I'm sure many people agree, but don't take the time to write a review. |
| calita 2007-08-06 ch 1, anon. | abuseSimply superb. I adore the way you play with Chatoya's humanity and Blue's lack of humanity. I can't wait until you write something else. I am still eagerly awaiting Lisa O'Chai's installment, can't wait until you have finished! Keep up the magic, take care |
| Katherine Winter 2007-07-13 ch 1, anon. | abuseHmm. |
| Mandy 2007-07-08 ch 1, anon. | abuseAs always, I love reading anything centered around Toya and Blue. Words can't even describe how much I love reading your work! |
| snccrockz 2007-07-05 ch 1, | abuseWow! This was a great story! I love the love-hate relationship between the two, and you dig deep into the pschological part of their relationship as well. Overall it was great. I recently started reading your Chatoya/Blue series of stories, and I am really hooked! Their stories are so captivating, and you, my friend, are a great writer. |
| terriestal-angell 2007-07-04 ch 1, | abuseI do love your Chatoya/Blue series. Always so psychologically thought provoking, and very dark. This was just another one of the good ones. |
| Bex Drake 2007-07-04 ch 1, anon. | abusea beautiful last couple of paragraphs; though one wonders if she will manage it, or if she'll become the very thing she fears becoming trying to stop the decent. there's such a sadness to this; a sense of bowing to the inevitable. the way you captured both of them, and the cruelty of the fey, was equisite. |
| CalliopeMused 2007-07-03 ch 1, | abuseI didn't know that something could be dark, horrible, terrible, and beautiful at the same time until I started reading your stories. The darker Fey (or Fae, or the Fair Folk- whichever incarnation they may be) are every disturbing/intriguing thing that I would expect, and this is another story guaranteed to give interesting dreams. Thanks very much for writing this lovely story- I'll be back to read it again. |
| Feeding Ground 2007-07-02 ch 1, | abuseAs per usual that was simply magnificent! All your stories are written so well that it leaves me in awe everytime I read one. I hope that there will be another short(/long) story with the crew from Fires of Fate. While I love Chatoya and Blue's relationship evolve, I really miss Cougar and Jepar. All the best. |
| yutakalamia 2007-07-02 ch 1, | abuseWow that was good. Blue's quirks are forever amusing, as usual. I loved the story; wish there were more of them. Blue and Chatoya stories are always the best. ;) Q, though; how old were they in this story, anyway? I think you mentioned it somewhere, but I can't quite do the path... |
| Chocolate Tree 2007-07-02 ch 1, anon. | abuseI loved it, just like I love everything you write. But this one just has such a nice malicious tang to it. ^-^ . I loved the idea of you using the quote "Cruel to be kind" to base your story on. Everything you write always seem so philosophical. Everything you write just seems to have a certain charm and twist and it's just so lovely!! :) Ahh!! I don't know what else to write that isn't gush or praise. I'm not very good with constructive criticism and grammar or whatnot. But either way, I just wanted to express my love for all your stories. But this one, this particular one had something in it that makes me like it a lot more. Maybe its because of its dark philosophical nature? I really don't know. Anyways, it was awesome! As always I'll be looking forward to any other stories you'll be writing! :D |
