JoeEngland 2007-09-11 . chapter 11Another solid story, though as ever I have a few nits to pick. First off, psychic doesn't necessarily refer to precognition. It merely describes having powers of the mind. Second, it's been said (I think by Brett Ratner himself) that the comatose body Charles moved into was actually intended to be that of the Professor's own identical twin brother, which would explain why it was Patrick Stewart's own voice which called out to Moira. This was probably so that Stewart could return for future sequels. I'm pretty sure that was him seen lying on the bed, purposely obscured so as to keep the mystery. I'd hate to have to start imagining Xavier as someone other than Patrick Stewart for these stories...
One more thing, I'll just draw to your attention. I found an online "Mary-Sue Litmus Test" designed to test if a fictional character could be considered a Mary-Sue of any order. I went through it using Bob as a basis, and I promise I tried to be fair and impartial. Now, in this test scoring anything over fifty points is meant to imply that the character in question is an irredeemable Mary-Sue which must be either killed off or re-written extensively.
Bob scored a 96.
So I went through it again and tried even harder to be lenient, and got a score of 56. It still says that as the definition of "Mary-Sue" goes, Bob definitely IS a Mary-Sue. Can we at least agree on that? I mean, I think I'm learning to tolerate him, but I can't say he's not one heck of a Mary-Sue, because oh, he absolutely is. But Google the test and try it yourself sometime, maybe you'll get a different result.
Now forget about me, I'm just an ornery old cartoonist, yessir. Got to cause my trouble. It sounds like the next story may be a little less "cosmic," and personally I like those best of all. Can't wait. |
Rowena DeVandal 2007-09-08 . chapter 11"Long blissful moment" my ass! It'll take what? Maybe 10 minutes before he's knee deep in something again? C'mon, this is ME talkin' here!
Sorry i've been lax in the reviewing department, but my cable's been wonky and i'm currently NOT speaking to my muse (we're having a difference of opinion)...i've also been doing some research in preparation for NaNoWriMo this year...i'll make 50,0 words dammit! So yeah, bad Rowena for not reviewing...
But there's really nothing i can say! Some people need concrit to improve but there's nothing wrong with your stories! (Well, maybe some weird spacing issues in the early ones, but that's probably FFN's fault and not yours.) And i hate just saying "Great job, update soon!" cuz i'm sure you get enough of those...le sigh...i'm rambling...i'll stop before it becomes a full-on babble! |
Aimed mischief 2007-09-07 . chapter 11Hehehe. That was the best ending so far. I loved it. And, I like the way you portray Xavier. :D |
Aimed mischief 2007-09-01 . chapter 10Fuck, that was the exact thing I was wondering. *jumps up and down in chair* |
Luc Star 2007-08-31 . chapter 10Hey, just dropping in to say that I have been reading this. The last few chapters were pretty ok... a bit anti-climatic as it wasn't actually the heroes that defeated Reignet but rather the breaking of a contract that finally led to his demise. Anyways, Xavier showing up at the end of last chapter was a shocker. I have heard that he had taken over a new body (didn't stick around to watch the end of the credits when the movie had come out and though I have the DVD, I'm too stubborn to sit through it again on the grounds that it sucked donkey balls) - wonder whose body he had snatched though. Any clue? Anyways, Logan doesn't trust Xavier and I'm not certain there is anything the ex-badly can do to change that. Oh well, I'm looking forward to the next chapter to see what happens next. Take care of yourself. Keep up the good work. |
El Varon 2007-08-29 . chapter 9Awesome, truly awesome, as usual.
Love the cliffhanger at the end there. |
Aimed mischief 2007-08-28 . chapter 9HOLY FUCK! *falls off chair* |
Lenneth 2007-08-22 . chapter 8'Bob groaned, rolling his eyes. “Can’t we just chalk this up as a favor between friends?”
Balor scowled evilly, which was pretty frightening. “Paperwork is the soul of order, Bob. We’ve discussed this.”'
haha very nice. interesting as always! keep up the work |

El Varon 2007-07-31 . chapter 5Cool couple of chapters. Yeah, a giant bubble of blackness isn't a bad thing at, nope. |
MidLifeCrisis 2007-07-24 . chapter 4This is picking up nicely. I'm glad you put Bob back in the picture. The banter between Logan and Bob is always priceless. Where does the demon-lore come from? Do you make most of it up or is there a basis that I could research for the hell of it?
Regards,
