-White-Arctic-Wolf- 2008-05-09 ch 51,	abuseOne thing really struck me in this chapter (and how it's truthful); the thing about essays and speeches. I've always thought that they were so/too easy...Adding facts, using the right wording, balance...I never found them extremely difficult and it always annoyed me how there is never any emotion allowed to put into essays. Opinions and passion is the attention-grabber! (I'll stop babbling on now) As always, awesome chapter and now I really can't wait for the next...It's such a great cliffhanger.

OMG either could be cool... :) An excellent chapter, with my usual complaint that it's too short. grin You know me, I love getting my fixes... Thanks for the update! I'm on tenterhooks now awaiting the next one...

I wish it was longer so I could try to figure it out better. :) Watching them spar like this is fascinating... hence the desire for the chapter to be longer. But very good job--and the sorrow at the end was... just poignant. Looking forward to the next!

I wonder if any of these watchers are going to report to the Fat Old Man about what his kid is up to? :) And boy, I wish I could draw... I would do a picture of these two on the subway in their lovely kimonos... :) Thanks for the update!
JastaElf 2008-04-20 ch 47,	abuseI'm sure some of my reviewers (or rather one of them lol) are not-so-secretly going to be pleased to see Rufus and Tseng in a kimono together. grins And would that... be me?? I am honoured! Actually... I'm sure lots of people want to see Rufus dolled up in that manner. I find it rather endearing that he's having problems with it, and Tseng finds it funny--and the shutting the door on Tseng's foot works, as well. But I suspect, once all has been put to rights, that Rufus is going to look positively edible... and so will Tseng. drools Looking forward to the next installment... :)

-White-Arctic-Wolf- 2008-04-15 ch 45,	abuseI enjoyed the flashback! Gotta feel bad for the kid; he can't do anything without fearing terrorists... The smell of fast food can be nauseating, especially when I have to spend the some time near a fast food restaurant, though I do eat the stuff on occasion. I must say that I really like the dialogue. The speech pattern reflects the character really well. Great job on that and this update!
JastaElf 2008-04-15 ch 45,	abuseOh, the flashback is wonderful! I mean, you know, in a train-wreck sort of way... grins Thank you for that! Poor kid... damn those terrorists for messing up his day! But then I suppose if he'd gotten away with it once he'd have done it again, and the toll might've been worse... Ah well! I love your Tseng. :) I hate the smell of fast food too... and cool that Rufus knows his keeper well enough to say the right things the right way. I think it's sweet and sad that the poor kid can't handle a compliment yet... :) Thanks for the update!
kuroiryuu 2008-04-15 ch 44, anon.	abuseSo amusing, the antics that occur when a Cultural Appreciation event is bent in new ways. Your writing never ceases to amuse me, it's very impressive. sigh I hate to take a stroll into more negative territory, but I must ask: What is the deal with the 'Shards' series? I have been searching for an answer in the others...but that is slow going, as most everything you write draws me in and then I have to read the whole thing before moving on...oh for a few 72 hour days with nothing to impinge upon my reading time...but both terms are sadly impossible, so I will not continue on that thread. Moving back to the topic at hand, I was truly enjoying 'Shards', and was surprised to not see anything after '06, especially with all the subsequent stories, some of which are in the same vein. I would like to know what happened, if possible. I do apologize if this is the hundredth time you've been asked, and you posted an answer somewhere; my only excuse is that I have not found it yet. An e-mail would be great if you have the time; I prefer not to e-mail others if they do not give me permission first, as "Spammed Mailbox" has quickly become a phrase to be feared, and I'd rather not just have this dismissed because the poor author has been bombarded with 'OMGWTFBBQ u suxor and I am teh l33t @$$h0!3 who spammzoes u becuz I haz no lif3 and am LAME' Yeah, seen way to much of that, and would prefer not to stress you unintentionally...those random chat room jockies are EVERYWHERE, and seem to be a perpetual pain in the ass. And no, I'd hardly pelt you with insults if you decided to quit, but I -would- be interested to know why; as I mentioned before, I was VERY impressed, and am having to fight the perpetual urge to play TOS through again...at least until summer. Please keep up the good work...I have no account here, so my e-address will have to do.
-White-Arctic-Wolf- 2008-04-15 ch 44,	abuseLike JastaElf, I always imagine the president being abusive, so when I try to imagine Tseng hitting Rufus, it tends to be in a comedic anime-style. But, he is from Wutai, which is portrayed a strict, and he is a Turk, so it makes sense. I could imagine a real school lockdown being like that. Drills aren't really taken that seriously by the students, and it always would cross my mind that in a real emergency, no kid is going to be organized and under control. Thanks for the update!
