Beaglicious 3/13/08 . chapter 1Lovely story, very, very sad but still worth the read. I'm glad Calleigh got to have that last moment with Tim that let her start the healing process. If only we were so lucky in RL.
Nice job! |
randomwriting 7/9/07 . chapter 1Lovely story, filled with much emotion, and very well written. Definitely tugged on my heart. I could feel her heartbreak, as well as her need to 'see' and 'feel' him one more time. I also thought you did a nice job of making the setting come alive, right down to the solitude that was so important to the story. Sad, but definitely a pleasurable read. |
SincerelyInDenial 7/7/07 . chapter 1The whole time I read this, I kept hoping Tim was not dead. But alas, he was. This was a beautiful story - extremely well written and chock full of emotion. I am glad Calleigh had finally gained some closure and was starting on the path of moving on. We never got to see that on the show, which was very frustrating.
My fave part:
Even though more tears fell from her eyes, Calleigh smiled gratefully at him, “It hurts but – but thanks for this, you know.”
Tim beamed, “I know, princess” silently he stood straight and stretched lazily for a moment before glancing down at Calleigh, “and you’re welcome.” He gave her a quick wink before he slowly faded away, vanishing completely from sight as if he never was there to begin with.
That was just perfect - and right on the money with Tim.
Great job! |

 speedfanatic05 7/4/07 . chapter 1Mari,
I was blown away, completely! First, that a Tim/ Calleigh fic was written( they have been scarce here lately) and then by the power of this story. I agree wholeheartedly that there was no closure for Calleigh, and that in order for her to move on productively, she would have to embrace it. But little did I know she was going to do it in a secluded place with the moon shining down on her.
The scene set up was flawless for me, in the fact that you eluded to a romantic getaway and hit us with the fact that this was her tool for saying goodbye and letting go. The pay off for me was when he really got up and left, leaving nothing but her fond memories and warm heart at what had transpired. And the fact that he was just so gentle with her, ...sigh...Gorgeous moment.
Beautifully done, Mari. Beautifully done. |
