Dimac99 8/29/09 . chapter 14
AWW! Very heartwarming and totally unrealistic! My realistic side more than overpowers my romantic side, unfortunately, but I loved reading it all the same - so much so that I would have just loved to have been Margaret in this chapter. Actually, I wouldn't have minded being her for a fair bit of this adventure! (But not the dangerous parts!)

I loved this story because it was dramatic, exciting and romantic and romance doesn't always mean a happy ending so I appreciate the whole story more for the realistic ending. It's less fangirlish, and I say that as a squeeing fangirl of both Rick and Ardeth lol. Sometimes an unrealisticly happy ending can actually ruin a good story!

I'm crying, damn you! I almost never cry at fanfic, but I'm crying now. I'll read the happy ending next, but I won't believe in it, I'm just too nosy not to read it. God, I was already tearing up when the boat was sailing away, I never stood a chance with this chapter!

About the "would a telegram reach him [Ardeth] in the desert?". I've actually read a fanfiction where Ardeth had a telephone!

Hehe. Yay! A sequel! P

Have I mentioned before how much I love this story. I suppose I have mentioned it once or twice, but it bears repeating. Hey, I think you should write a sequel to A Place for Everything. More Margaret!
Freakizimi 3/27/03 . chapter 14
Could we please please please have a sequel to this one too? Perhaps when Hannah's older? I love the character Meg, and I really like the idea that someone is paying a bit of attention to Ardeth for a change instead of just Rick and Evy!

Please write more soon!

:D

I loved this story too. I liked the happy ending much more, cause I'm pretty romantic and so I like happy endings.

Both your endings are good and strong. I prefer the "happy one", but that's just me. The "realistic one" is good as well.
Lady of Light 1/18/02 . chapter 14
Y'know... every time I read this story, it gets better. A beautiful synthesis of technical talent and stirring imagery. Wildly romantic - and exactly what I want to read right now. *swooning sigh* Thanks, Jennifer!

Love it! And sweet idea to do both endings...it was satisfying to see the different ways it could have turned out. This was extremely well written and compelling from start to finsh...awesome story.

Jen, the story is gorgeous. I just love it. Really. The plot is wonderfull and very precise, which I really appreciate. And there is a lot of lovely details that made the story to be my favourite (e.g. the short part where in the Puzzle Box Ardeth asks Margaret never ride bu once being in England, and here you go and mention she obeyed and never did so - you made me laugh heartily)! Great job. One day I will tell this story to my children (well, possibly I will skip over the smut, although I LOVE it)! LOL!

Daniela

PS: I would also love to thank Ellbee for making you to write the smut down.

You both are great.

whew. Lemme take a moment to form a real through about this.

This was _very_ strong. You had so many wonderful moments that I stopped jotting them down after the 13th one, or this review would have ended up much longer than it did. You managed to have Ardeth being hopelessly in love with someone without turning her into a Mary Sue. Margaret is a very real character to me.. she has her fears and her strengths, isn't perfect.

I've used the 'pick your own ending' tactic in a story as well, and in your story I actually liked the realistic ending better. Perhaps I'm bitter and have the deep-rooted belief that things hardly ever end in blissful ever-afters. Anyway, the realistic end was very touching - and to me very recognizable, as I've been in a long distance relationship and know the whole forgetting-details thing and the hopelessness of it all.

Anyway. (there is a conclusion to this thing, honest) You got me crying with that last part, and that is not something that happens often. Welcome to the fav. authors list. Cheers, Arwen Lune

I finally got to read this. *sniffle* You are SUCH and EXCELLENT writer! Ending 1...*grabs tissue box* Of course I liked both endings. I'm one of those people that can take the sad as art along with the happy. Wow. What can I say but wow. Simply excellent. I am so happy you're allowing me to archive. What an awesome addition. Write more...write lots more cause you are great at it. Loved this story. :-)

I've read the entire story, for reasons unknown my review is not accepted at Chpt 14. All accolades for this most marvelous story are well and truly deserved. If you hadn't offered the alternatived ending I'd be left waiting for the sequel. There's nothing wrong with the fairytale ending, there are too many broken hearts as it is. By far, this has been the best story on The Mummy page. You are to be congratulated and should feel proud.
