Really good read so far. You clearly are having fun with the language and come up with some interesting similes. I'm glad I'm reading this when it's complete; it would be painful trying wait.

Just a side note here, not really critique: I was reading this chapter listening to cheesey 80s songs, and the tie-in to your song pics was too tempting. At the start of the chap, I was listening to "I'm Your Man" by Wham. But as soon as I hit the kiss, it switched to "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell. I actually had to stop the music because I was laughing too hard.
