Well, I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I'm going to have to go search out these DVDs, because you have definitely whetted my long-dormant interest in the Avengers.

I loved "you must pay the rent...", "but I can't pay the rent...", "my hero..." I can't tell you how many times I've recited that myself.

And the reference to Bilbo Baggins's attitude about adventures!

And Steed, saying he could "buttle with the best of them"!

LOVED this fanfic. It was great. TNA were my era of the 'Avengers' & I loved the Purdey/Gambit relationship. Fanfic seems very scarce. I hope you write more :)

Very well written story, some of the dialogue was absolutely classic. Keep it up, there's not enough Avengers stuff out there, and you really did the characters justice here.

You know I love this - it was a joy to "kibitz" for you, and I adore the characterizations. You create real people, using the TV-show-figures to show your readers that they are human beings, feeling, fear and joy. "New Avengers" will probably never be "my" fandom, but you made me love, Gambit, Purdey and Steed.

I really liked this. I've always been a big fan of the Purdey-Gambit relationship in TNA.
