 sg1gater86 2009-08-18 . chapter 4MrDrP
Hey I have read quite a few of your fanfic stories and have liked them all, but I have just read the MIB chapter of Crossover and Out. This is something you should definatly attempt at making into a full length story. I have just started writing and if I was at a point where I thought I could do it justice I would ask to permission to continue it, but at the moment I am not there. So I ask that you please consider expanding upon this idea.
Yours,

 Joe Stoppinghem 2009-07-12 . chapter 6Aww Man!
I know you've mentioned the full sched in your life, (it's sad when a 40 year-old tries to sound hip), but dude, you've got to really think long on this.
What a story! Putting them into the story but not one of the characters.
Even though I haven't see the movie, my 11 year-old want to but I feel it's PG-13 for a reason. (Any opinions on this would be welcomed.)
As always enjoying your work, even when you don't or can't continue with it.
Thanks |
Kradeiz 2009-07-11 . chapter 6Funny. Glad someone else caught the Enterprise reference in the movie, too. It figures, though, doesn't it? I mean, Enterprise was the least liked of all the Star Trek shows and yet, in the new Star Trek continuity, it's the only one that will have stayed exactly the same. Wild.
Too bad you couldn't make a story out of this. It would be a pretty good beginning. I can find Kim being as vexxed by the young Spock as she was by Will Du; and Ron would probably go about getting the young Chekov into trouble (I loved that guy!).
All in all, nice little oneshot, keeping both KP and the new ST in character. |
Joe Stoppinghem 2009-07-11 . chapter 5Don't know how I missed this one.
Loved "Bonnie the Hut" thought for sure it was going to Drakken, but he could have been the owner of Commodore Puddles but this of course was a work of enjoyment. For my end of course.
And here I thought you were all caught up in your stories... ;)
Thanks
Now on to chapter 6. |
whitem 2009-07-11 . chapter 6At first I was a bit confused... Archer, and Mr. Scott? Together? But then I figured out the ages. Old Admiral Archer equals young Montogomery Scott.
Now why is it always a Transporter accident that really messes things up?
Like others have said... it's kinda mean to tease with a great idea such as this and then stop... But Oh well. I'll get over it. Maybe. |
CajunBear73 2009-07-10 . chapter 6So that's the real backstory of how Scottie got 'exiled' as he did for the beagle sitch... LOL!
Oy, such the plan from Lucre that finally worked.

Mahler Avatar 2009-07-10 . chapter 6To paraphrase Dr. McCoy, "Dammit, Jim! I'm a doctor, not a fanfic writer!"
I am SO bummed that you'll not be continuing with this excellent beginning, but I can definitely relate to the Not Enough Time Syndrome (Star Trek episode #, uh . . .)
And to those who were wondering, yes, the new Star Trek movie does make reference to a transporter mishap involving Mr. Scott and Admiral Archer's dog. But that would make Porthos about 70 (and don't make me calculate that in dog years), so he's probably a descendant. Or maybe that was the nature of Scottie's little experiment? Hmm, taking after another mad scientist of our mutual acquaintance, are we? I guess we'll never know. But I digress.
As usual, you've done your homework. And it's hard to put one past an original Trekker! Wonderful story, and this time FL succeeds in sending Kim & Ron . . . (drumroll please) . . . Where No Cheerleader Has Gone Before! Just sorry we won't be seeing the conclusion. But now I can try to catch up on your other 50 stories!
thanks,

screaming phoenix 2009-07-10 . chapter 6Ok now that was just mean. You tease us with that then say, “Sorry no more!” Evil I tells ya Evil incarnate!
The bargain basement bad guy strikes again sans fake facial hair and almost does something right.
I don’t remember Archer in the new movie and Scotty is old? Wouldn’t that make Archer ancient? I mean dried out mummy, chariot tracks in the dust, I remember when dirt wasn’t here yet; old? |
Mahler Avatar 2009-07-10 . chapter 5Bravo. Any superlatives on my part could not do this story justice. Such a great parody with so many digs, my mind simply reels. I couldn't stop laughing.
Where to begin? Perfect parody of the opening credits, and The Even Bigger Death Star. Mel Brooks would be proud.
Bonnie the Hutt. Absolutely priceless. Taking the world's second most hottest cheerleader and turning her into a giant slug? Campy said it best: "That's just ... wrongsick. That's evil. That's ... that's ... brilliant." Never liked Bonnie's mean-spiritness (but can understand why with sister's like she had), but she had a fitting end. Uh, I mean, her demise was well-deserved . . . Loved the bit about jerking Kim's chain, literally and figuratively.
And putting our favorite cheerleader into Leia's gold slave outfit while manning that laser cannon? Have you no mercy on my permanently burned retinas? And Ron's reaction!
“That is the hottest thing I’ve ever seen,” he said in awe as she fired another shot.
And the Understatement of the Year Award goes to Mr.Dr.P . . .
But with all the wonderful bits, your choice of Yori as Luke was a stroke of genius. I've found Yori undeservedly underated by many, and you did her great justice both as the lead and in your characterization. Your reinterpreted Luke/Leia sitch was also spot-on:
“Such a relationship would be a regrettable contrivance that would only serve to appeal to devotees of hot lesbian martial artist sex who unconvincingly profess an interest in complex plot lines and character development."
Well spoke.
Plus Yori's snappy comeback: “Have you not considered what some with overactive imaginations might make of the scene presented by you and Princess Kim, who is both female and your captive?” Burn! Kaching!
Yori's Zen comments to Ron were perfectly in keeping with both Yori and Luke. Plus Ron's puns, Smarty Mart slams, and even Commodore Puddles as the Thorgoggl (and Jerry Mathers, as The Beaver). Sorry! Just couldn't resist . . .
The only thing I could have added would have been Ron almost losing his pants while rescuing Will Du, ala Han/Lando and the Sarlaac.
Each story just gets better. And now on to Star Trek . . . |
Mahler Avatar 2009-07-10 . chapter 4I'm REALLY sorry you won't be continuing with this one: it's really got great potential. The opening with J was spot-on. Your success with crossover dialogue is how well one can envision the original character delivering the new lines, and you hit that one out of the park. Just like the Cubs did: yes, that really happened. The Tweebs deneuralized me . . .
Rufus as an alien explains SO much. And the Middleton High lunch lady? Duh. And we all know the relationship between Mr. Barkin and Agent T, hmm?
The biggest problem of course is Kim and Ron leaving everything and everyone behind. I just can't imagine them doing that, but they'd have to (at least at the start) in order for the sitch to work. I'd have to guess that the Tweebs would figure out a way to beat the neuralizer (with Wade's help perhaps? Plot complication!)
Kim slugging Will Du? All right! Will Du being neuralized after failing the MIB entrance exam? Perfect! (Never liked that guy . . .) Kim still jellin' over Yori? Hilarious! Yori still holding a torch for Ron? Plot bunny! And turning Ron into a monkey after dissing her? Oh, priceless. Irony can be SO ironic . . . |
spectre666 2009-07-10 . chapter 6Please, please, continue this one. At least until Kimbo can cold ** the amorous captain. :) As Spock would say (and did) Fascinating.

JLBShecky 2009-07-10 . chapter 6A wonderful little tale, its quite the shame that of this entertaining plot will not come to fruition so as to provide me further entertainment.
If I remember correctly someone else wrote a story a couple years back in which Kim and Ron were transported on board the original enterprise in a transporter accident, after which they and the crew of the Enterprise had to rush to get them back to their original time line to keep their DNA from destabilizing, although it has been a year or two since I read it so my memory could be off. Nevertheless I still loved this little tale and would have loved to see it continued, as the plots driving this tale just bring a smile to my face.

PS - I had considered seeing if I could get you a job working for the MIB, so that you would be able to have more time to write, but rejected the idea as the end result would most likely be that they would not allow you to continue writing. |
