Oh, this last chapter is heartbreaking. The entire thing is really lovely and sad. I was so relieved to see that Al is alive and out of the war. I see that it's been a while since your last update (and much longer since you started it!) but I hope you'll finish this up. It's really beautifully done.

Minor criticism of the first chapter: a mortal wound means that the wound is fatal. I think you meant it just as a really bad wound? It took me a little while to work out that you weren't about to kill Ed of infection in the first chapter.

Am otherwise sucked in. Off to read more. Will review again when done.

Poor Ed. His walls are built so high, he doesn't even realize Winry's standing there with him.
