milo the ninja 2007-08-16 . chapter 1yay, i love skip beat. and your is the first fic i've been able to get in too. hope the next chapter is quickly in coming. |
Accidental.Enlightenment 2007-07-31 . chapter 1So, out of the, what, twelve stories for Skip Beat! I've instinctively eliminated the bad ones and have studiously avoiding clicking their links. Obviously, that means yours is one of the good ones. I'm happy to say that I don't regret reading it.
I loved the dramatic irony and how you started with Yashiro not having a place to sit. And then, the whole "it was one thing to tell Ren to go after a woman he was attracted to; doing it himself was completely different" was a very nice touch and helps the characterization a lot. Meanwhile, I can totally imagine Shou reacting that way to Kyoko's words. I especially liked that Yashiro figured out who he was dealing with at the end.
I will say, however, that it seems slightly unlikely that out of everyone in the cafe, he would know no one. After all, he is the manager, so he's the one who's supposed to be recognizing people and reminding Ren who they are. But I will concede that he probably doesn't know Shouko, especially since she's another manager. (Ironic, isn't it? The managers probably know everyone but the other managers.)
Anyway, I enjoyed this piece. I hope you'll continue to write more!

WindyLea 2007-07-17 . chapter 1Ah, yes, this charming little story. I read it on lj, I think... or maybe not. In any case, it's really well-written, with solid versimilitude. I could certainly see this scene actually happening in the manga. (Especially since it possesses no threat to the main canon.)
Thanks for a nice read. It was fun ^_^ |
KokoroNoKage 2007-07-16 . chapter 1To put it simply, I loved it! The story had a nice flow and the characters were exactly like in the manga. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this scene actually happened. ^.^ Keep up the great work! |
Aliora 2007-07-15 . chapter 1An interesting and highly-plausible moment between Yashiro and Shouko, with mainly solid writing and a nice control of the situation.
Good work, going onto the favourites! :) |
