| Fairheartstrife 2008-05-07 ch 1, | abuseThe slums made you hungry and desperate, but not grateful. Possibly one of the best lines I have ever read! Seriously. It resonates with that profound almost universal truth we all know, but blessedly don't experience. (At least I hope not to.) I do hope you add more to this, as I will certainly be reading! |

| Mr. Ite 2007-07-16 ch 1, | abuseYou really do Tifa justice here. That's hard to come by, and when it does the writing is always superb (mostly because people who understand what Tifa's all about are usually intelligent). You've done both character study and world expanding beautifully here. Kudos. A bonus kudos for Johnny and Jessie, two characters who aren't looked to enough. |
| motchi 2007-07-15 ch 1, | abuseOh, what a journey this has been, Bof. Are you proud of yourself? I think you should be. There aren't very many Tifa-gen stories around, but the ones that I've seen paint her as a mixture of tough vulnerability. I'd like to think that's how she'd be. She's so young at this period of her life, and still recovering from the loss of her childhood. But, she's moving on and living her life--that's one of my favorite things about her--and you've captured that here. She may be a little lost and a little naive, but she's still a fighter. "Maybe she didn't actually need to hear that pride. Maybe all she needed to do was just stand, trust her own feet. Move forward." -- I think this part sums up the transition period in her life. She's resigning herself to being alone and standing on her own two feet. I think you're doing a swell job with this. It shows a dedication to doing Tifa justice, which is always a thumbs-up in my book. |
