2008-06-15 . chapter 25
Nice to see an update.
The address you gave me was a bit jumbled, so it was impossible to find -sigh-

Interesting chapter, written again with the same lovliness as before. I am more and more intrigued as the story progresses, and as I said before, I hope you save these characters, for it seems they most definitely need to be saved lol.

This is horribly sad.
I enjoy reading stories like this, but they always break me inside a little. Yours is very nicely written -- the kind I've always had a soft spot for. Almost reminds me of Timothy Findley.

Although its been a horrendously long time since your last update, I hope you can find the power to continue. I can't imagine these characters trapped in this situation forever; you're the only one that can set them free from Beckett.

*Hug Boheimian* You named him David!

I would feel sorry for him if he wasn't so terrible. He comes out of the closet and nearly gets his arm ripped off... Still, he deserved it.

a good chapter. i particularly liked the line 'i just came from his room, actually.' perfectly Rose.

by the way, if i havn't told you before, i find your stream of consciousness style of writing to be unique and refreshing. keep up the good work.

never, ever listen to flames. look at them, file them away, take pride in them, but never listen to them. when i get a flame, i'm actually proud, proud that i stirred someones emotions enough to make them respond.
great chapter by the way.

I'll be honest - I've only seen the last 2 POTC movies once each and didn't give Beckett much thought. But this fic has really gotten me thinking about the character in both good and bad ways.

Leave it to fic to actually flesh out the characters and make them living and breathing!

Hah, I knew that if I kept reading, I'd find out who her brother was.

Wow, that was so heartless.

And your prose is so spare, but it's like fast punches. Real short, but you feel each one.

This is just a guess, but is her brother Gillette?

Real poignant chapter.

What a twisted relationship this is. It reminds me a bit of the Patriot fic, "The Limits of Her Consent", although Beckett is way more brutal and less sensuous (as in NOT AT ALL!) than Tavington was in that one.

I like them both, however!

Wow, what an attention-grabbing chapter! I can't help but read further!

And I don't know why there's been so much comment on Rose's epithet. F--kster is traceable back to the late 17th century. F--ker to the early 1800s -- at least that useage. Another useage is actually from the late 16th c.

To think that raunchy vocabulary is a modern invention is pretty conceited, I think!

Anyway, I loved this and I can't wait to read more.

:raises hand: Libertine fan here! How fitting of Beckett - he and Wilmot are so similar in this story.

First of all, the swear words they used back then were only damn, hell, and bastard. None of them would of said ** or things such as that. And the chapters are way too short with many grammatical and spelling errors. Fix it up.

Gosh, I had a lot to read since I haven't read your story in a while, but I love your writing style. The story's getting interesting! Update soon!
