YLee Franklin 2009-11-29 . chapter 1I really do hope you continue with this story. I never could get behind Dumbledor's "Your mother's willingness to sacrifice her life for yours is what saved you." As so many other people have said, she can't have been the only mother to offer her life in her childrens stead. If she was, the wizarding world had far deeper problems than just a Dark Lord. |
 garsdal 2009-10-15 . chapter 1lo and behold.

siaru 2009-06-21 . chapter 1 Interesting. It's not entirely canon-compatible, as Neville is the Herbology wunderkinde, not Harry, but I can see Petunia's back garden being a stronghold and storehouse of Harry's magic, as much as he has to have poured into that reservoir while working on it. The Prongs Patronus then has a double meaning (and Snape's in DH can only be a "D'Oh!"). Significantly, Harry being born on the edge of Lammas aligns with AD's plan to have Harry serve as sacrifice. Or would that be an Ing sacrifice -- if Lily's earthwitch cult is female only, what's the long-term prognostication for Harry's gender?
I'll be interested in seeing any expansion you care to give this. |
mrmistoffelees 2009-05-11 . chapter 1Excellent work on this...I can imagine Lily using magick like this to protect Harry. |
Tris the weatherwitch 2008-05-18 . chapter 1I--really, /really/ like this idea. A prequel would be wonderful, but more than that, I'd like to see this thought elaborated on. Is the old magic the power What's-His-Name knows not? A male with the ability to harness nature magic--especially if it's more of a female power would be very interesting. And as the magic of the Greenwitches is somewhat based on that of the Goddess, would Harry's power resemble that of Cernunos?
Sorry to ramble like that, but I think it's an intriging concept. |
 Cassandra Jackson 2007-08-22 . chapter 1Hi,
I really loved your story, and I e-mailed you seperatly about something. I haven't heard from you so I'm hoping I'll hear from you now. If not, just wanted you to know the idea for the story is very cool, and there's so much you can do with it. I signed my e-mail Cassie but I go by either Cassie or Meranda.
All the best,
Meranda |
ranma hibiki 2007-07-28 . chapter 1what happens next! what happens next! what happens next! COME ON! tell us!! |
 NamelessHeretic 2007-07-19 . chapter 1Heh, I like. |
Garnet Avi 2007-07-16 . chapter 1I'd love to see more about this. A prequel might be interesting, but I think it could also use a sequel where Harry learns to use that power as well. There are so few stories that incorperate pagan religions into the magical world and I always find it fascinating. Thanks for writing and sharing.

Lilith Kayden 2007-07-16 . chapter 1This was a truely wonderful beginning. I love the return to the ancient Goddess Religion, before magic became all structure, wand pointing, incantations and Wizard Dogma. I look forward to your coming chapters. You should definitely continue.

queenskin 2007-07-16 . chapter 1You definitely have continue this completely and utterly fascinating idea of old magic. |
Kin Pandun 2007-07-16 . chapter 1Wow. Brilliant. Maybe a prequel and a sequel? The Prequel about the earthwitches, and the sequel about Harry delving into or discovering the Old Earth magic? Maybe he could be an earthwarlock? Or maybe it works differently for him since he's under the goddess's protection...
Thanks for writing,
Kin. |
Captain-Emily 2007-07-16 . chapter 1That was beautiful. I quite like your reason for Harry's survival. Actually, I like it more than "your mother sacrificed herself for you, and never mind the scores of other mothers who have done the same." This should be made canon. Brava! (Bravo?)
I love the idea of a prequel, but have you considered a sequel, in which Harry discovers the earthmagic. Perhaps it is "the power he knows not"? |
Amylion 2007-07-16 . chapter 1That must have been a very interesting discussion and I like the result of it! |
Aeryun 2007-07-16 . chapter 1Finally a reason their eyes are the same that makes a sense! Wonderful one-shot, thank you!
