I absolutely love this story, it's adorable and I love the fact that at least SOMEONE around here is capable of respecting inflation stories. Mucho gracias for putting up such a nice fic and making Misty, Joy, and even Delia big and beautiful.
I want to provide those ignorant n00blets to inflation a little FAQ I found on dA by dwarfpriest on Simple, straightforward.
Q: What is inflation art
A: Basically a kind of art where a character is drawn as if he/she were bigger, through fattening, or inflating like an air balloon.
Q: What kind of inflation art exists
A: There are a good number of different kind of art:
1 - The normal fat people art, that is not even considered inflation art, just art about larger people, the kind you find on the streets near your house.
2 - Weight gaining, where a thin character grows fat, or an already fat character grows even fatter.
3 - Inflation, where the character actually blows up like an air balloon, and that style has several variations: expansion of specifics parts of the body, use or gas or liquids, and others.
Q: The main question: Why you guys draw/write about it?
A: Even among us, we don’t know exactly why we have this fascination. Some of us just likes the fat people, others like the look of an inflated person, in a comical way, others find it sexy, and a few others fantasize about growing themselves into butterballs, or hot air blimps. The only real answer is that its all about fantasy art.
Why you like fat women?
For the same reason everyone else likes skinny women.
Q: Your art/stories degrade women. You show them only as pin-ups, to satisfy your weird fantasies.
A: This is the most common line I see around. Well, for starters, there ARE women that are into this. Some of them are even artists! And a good portion of them draw inflation art, using men as their subjects.
And just to make it clear, I see a lot of "normal" artists making pin-ups, of both women and guys, especially the called Bishounen, in several degrading situations. Should I start to bitch about it?
Q: You are sick, for liking those ridiculous things.
A: I think sick are those drawings about drugs, war, death, mutilations…
Q: What you do is not art.
A: Lemme see… Lines… colors in some cases… forms, people, places… it transmits ideas… yep, its art alright. Unless some primary forces have changed, its still art, don’t matter how weird it is. Words, even? Ahh, yes, it is INDEED literature as well.
Q: You do this weird stuff just for popularity.
You think I'd do this kind of stuff if I thought its disgusting for me? Be real.
A: I write/draw because I like. And I post it online, because I have friends that like this kind of stuff. Otherwise, I could just keep it for myself, and not show anyone.
Q: You write/draw in that weird way because you don’t understand anatomy?
A: To tell the truth, it is very hard to make this kind of art. You need to know a lot about anatomy. Drawing a circle, and draw a face on top it easy. Make it look like a person, in an expanded way, is very complex. Just compare works of beginners and more experienced artists, and you'll see what I meant.
To make a long story short, we draw this way because we DO understand anatomy.
Q: Okay, I understand if you think chubby people are cute, especially women with larger breasts and butts. But sometimes you guys draw a person so fat they can't move! And they shouldn't even be alive, even less look "cute" that way!
A: In one word: Fantasy! It's just for fun, a person that gains so much weight he/she can't walk. There's no real meaning for it. And if you say they shouldn't be alive/walking/be pretty, and all that stuff, remember its all about fantasy. We have giant monsters, super heroes, and others freaks on movie/comics/cartoons, but no one complain that they shouldn't exist.
Q: Oh my god! You guys get turned on by this?
A: Yes. What is wrong with it? I mean, I see people getting turned on even by "normal" stuff. There's no telling what kind of art can turn a person on. I saw people getting turned on by images with blood and mutilation. It freaks me out, but I just don’t care for it.
Q: What is it about WG (Weight Gaining)? Doesn't normal girls looks good for you? You need to force your definition of beauty over others?
A: Again, this is about fantasy. The idea of a girl gaining weight is just a thing we do for fun. Like a woman doing a "boob job" to have bigger breasts, and therefore be more beautiful, we work on the idea of a woman gaining weight all around the body. Same idea applies on the artists/writers that use it with male characters.
Q: Okay, and what about inflation? What is the fun in a woman swelling like a balloon? That’s stupid!
A: Once again, is just something we do simply by fun. Some people fantasize about their partners growing a part of their bodies (or the whole body!) as if it were inflating with air (or water). Others have fantasies about themselves inflating into floating blimps. Why? No reason. Its just for fun. You can work on erotic stories about the feelings a person can have, turn the story into some kind of sport (like flying), have more violent stories where a person inflates against her/his will. There is not a real reason. And it shouldn't be taken so seriously.
Q: If you like fat men/women, it means you don’t like the skinny ones?
A: Wrong. We never said we didn’t like them. Actually, many people I know that are into this stuff have skinny girlfriends/boyfriends.
Q: You do this art because you are against society?
A: No. I couldn't care less for society. I'm not drawing a fatty girl to be different from others that draws only skinny girls. I draw it because I LIKE fat girls. Simply as that.
Q: You go after fat girls because they have low self-esteem and would date any guy that says she's beautiful?
A: Once again, no. I don’t look for them because they are "easy", but because I do find them beautiful. I know many fat people that have high self-esteem, and I admire them.
Q: You guys think you are best than us, for having an "open mind"?
A: No. I don’t think. Actually, I know some people inside this "community" that are very irritating, and are jerks to everyone. So I say we're not better, just different.
Q: You think I should gain weight?
A: I was asked this more than once, and my answer is… no! Why, you ask? Because gaining weight is not a joke, it can harm your health. "But you said you like fat girls." Yes, I like. I find them beautiful. But gaining more weight than you already have is as dangerous as trying these "quick-result" diets to lose weight.
And believe me, I already got into arguments with people in this community about it. A guy even sent me a message calling me a loser cause I was not giving incentives for a girl to gain weight in a forum. I said she should not gain weight just to be "accepted" inside a group she hardly knows, and that guy got angry I was not trying to convince her to gain weight, and even called me a loser. Two days later, said girl complained how some guys just paid attention to her because she said she wanted to gain weight, that she felt used as an object, and never again went back to the forum. So, I'm the loser? That’s this kind of thing I try to avoid.
Q: Alright. I do understand this thing turns you on, but I dont need to like it.
A: Nopes, you dont need. We dont want you "normal" people to like it or even understand. We just want to be left alone. We meant really no harm to anyone. And keep an open mind while you're at it.
Q: This is a quick fad that invaded DA and will disappear anyway
A: Wrong. This thing has been around for many years, even before internet existed (4 years, right? I'm into this stuff at least 5-6 years now). We didnt meant to "invade" anything. We just wanted a place to post our works for our friends be able to see. We used to use places like Yahoo and MSN groups, but they have serious limitations, and here works fine to making communities and the feedback system is the best there is.
Q: Well, there are other fan fiction-posting communities now. Why dont you leave and go to one of them?
A: I'd love to... but I have too many friend here, and since flamers started to annoy the inflation artists, I decided to stay just for spite.
I'm with Vidley-chan on this one. I go to your site all the time dude *infact I joined your Fourms* and this is one of my personal fav fics. But I don't take F.A. very serously I just find the fics to be funny nothing more then humour even if there meant to be serious. But lets face it this fic is good but the problem is... this fic went essientally nowhere I mean all we did was watch misty eat herself into an early grave. soon her heart well exploud. but aside from that fact I enjoy this fic thourghly

This is going to be a very long review. First of all, I'd like to start by saying anything I say in here is not meant to be offensive, I'm simply reviewing honestly author to author. Another point that may be helpful is this was the first WG Fic I read and I'm a bit lost as to what the appeal is. I'm about 16 now and what I'd call a decent weight, so I am in no position to judge those larger than me. I followed the Pokemon series very closely for a while, then stopped when it strayed from the point, but I feel I know enough to review this fanfiction. At first I thought this was definitely a humor fic...it just couldn't be anything else. Misty is a TWIG in the series and even I think she could stand to gain some weight, so I thought that's what you were insulting. I've read two other stories of yours and when I saw they all had a like theme, I realized you were very serious in your writing and obviously passionate about this subject. This is a very touchy subject for me, I don't like to make rude comments about anyone... I have several friends who are probably a bit overweight but still very beautiful in many ways. I've seen many women who were actually strikingly pretty despite their weight, but somewhere I think this crosses the line. I understand you warned that this was a WG fic and maybe I shouldn't have read when I knew what the results would be, but I am content with some sections of the story while others I am not. Ash seems very OOC to me. Ash was always the one who adored eating and Misty seemed more laid back to me, but I think you like to focus the weight gain around females. Misty is also very OOC, she's very subconscious of herself it seems in the series yet at the same time arrogant... I would NEVER peg her for one to let herself go. Ash, maybe. Ash seems comfortable with who he is, and if Misty was getting overweight I don't think he'd hesitate to tell her that she should slim down. Joy, I understand a bit more of her motive, but these girls seem all too WILLING to gain this much weight. Perhaps Joy should have been a little bit...argumentative about it before deciding to stuff herself? I always thought of Misty as someone very irrational, I think if she was gaining weight she wouldn't be comfortable with it at all. That's not what concerned me about this fic though, while big can be considered beautiful and sometimes people can be perfectly healthy and happy with being fat, what Misty and Joy were doing was EXTREMELY unhealthy...same with in your other fics. It's not okay AT ALL to do that, I would know because I have relatives in the same problem. NONE of them are happy with their appearance. My problem here, was one, how Ash seemed to enjoy her shape. Ash never really seemed interested in girls, but somehow I think he liked Misty how she was and even in your fic he seems very...unclear on the matter of her weight. I think it would be more appropriate to try and encourage Misty to be healthy and...well very obviously, less gluttonous and selfish. Ash would always love Misty no matter what her shape, but because that is so it doesn't mean he finds her attractive. I thought scenese where she was in a bikini was very unappropriate in reguards to this. I think Ash would be very uncomfortable and even worried about his girlfriend's unhealthy problem, and yes I consider it a problem. I agree that in some cases big is beautiful, but not to the point of drooling and getting horny. I know when I go to the beach with friends and I see someone who's largely overweight trying to wear something that obviously doesn't fit, I'm disgusted. These are matters that I really think you should look into more and the realism of your WG fic could be helped a bit, I would enjoy it if it seemed more down to Earth. No one likes gaining weight, I don't like stepping on the scale to even see I'm two pounds over normal. One plus in this fic, I was pleased with how you did their weights. I weigh 135 and people have told me I'm too skinny. I hate it whe people decide anything over 120 is heavy. I have friends weighing 150 and they're still as skinny as I am. But aside from the OOCness, the other problem with this fic I had was...where is it GOING. It looks like it has no point other than the unhealthy eating problems Misty is going through...very unhealthy. She's letting herself get fat and she's extremely lazy, that's something I never thought of Misty. She was very outgoing and I don't think weight would keep her from walking up the friggen stairs at night. Back to the point, this story needs more of a plot. While some of the character interaction is fun to read, you give readers no more point to the story than to watch Misty eat herself into an early grave. Well, I will probably look for updates in the future and hopefully improvements. I don't think your story is bad, but I do think it needs some...edge.

Anyway,I've tried,and it seems I'm no good at WG stories.-_-; I never finish... 're the one who got me into that kinda stuff anywho,so... .
I read the entire story, not just chapter one but i didn't know where to put the review so lol. Very cool gain story, also has some nice romance in it as well, while still maintainig the style of pokemon, keep writing please _.
hrm...itz an ok start so far but misty seemz a bit OFC usually ash is the onez whose hungry and not misty and no matter how much ash or misty eatz they never really get any fatter
