So two very different POV from the brothers, though the value they place on each other shoulders rings the same - love. Dean struggling to let Sammy know it has always been his role to love him unconditionally was so heartfully put together on the page. Acknowleding the Faith Sam has held onto as something he wants him to fall back on when he is gone - perhaps not realising that it was not just Faith itself that kept Sam whole but his ever protective presence and reassurance too. Then Sammy, rightfully fearful at his impending brother's loss, struggle against his 'destiny' knowing that the rage inside of him is dangerously close to the surface and the damage to his soul and those around him it can do. All he wants to do is let his brother know that he appreciates all the sacrifices made in the name of him by Dean, not feeling worthy enough but still wanting to make his brother proud of him. Confessions aside, of Demons and the burden laid on both brothers shoulders, this whole piece beautifully involved the past story lines you have written, the arc woven into the tapestry of the words on the page, rekindling memories of the mythology you have created in tangent with the ongoing world of the Winchester brothers. Great one off which smudged the mascara once again girl! Thanks so much. Rozzy

Now there are two things in particular that needs attention here. One is how you go threw the memories. The memories from the show or from you have created on your very own. And how you trigged my memory of your stories... Man I do love your stories even if my memory at times such as well as I at times mix em up... still I do love them! Now the second one is the most important one and that is how you writing it, how you write the boys thoughts as if you actually were right reading their mind as they are sitting alone in some half dark spot puring their thoughts and feelings down to a piece of paper. And as I said on the FaNily board it wasn't what you wrote that got to be but how you wrote at is it really and truly was a goodbye and that got my eyes misty and all... dang you for hitting the emo spots! Though awesome of you too! Kay then... think that was it! "bye Dean"

Anyways, if he were to die, this letter (or a letter, by any chance) would be good enough to end the story, which I hope doesn't end with his death. ;)
raputathebuta 2007-07-18 ch 1,	abuseWhat a great story! I love the idea of Dean & Sam writing letters to each other. I could "hear" Jensen & Jared reading the words. Both POV's were heartbreaking, but Sammy's had me weeping.

I have been reading fan fiction for a long time and this is the first time I'm actually BAWLING after reading one. All the things they never said to each other and you just know they wanted to. you've captured both of them perfectly. It's so sad that they live for each other and Sam's gonna be left alone (they had better fix that!)...It would be great to see how they each react to the other's letters! (wanna write more?! :) You are awesomley talented and I'm gonna go see if you've written any others and read them! AWESOME AWESOME fic.

(in a good way) I like the mention of John and how YED wanted him dead. (I love that story... I know you've heard me say it before, but truly! I love Casualties.) Boy... if only the boys would have a heart-to-heart like that. Dean really needs to tell Sam that stuff... and Sam really needs to listen. Sam... Sammy, Sammy, Sammy... It's about time he was thankful... whiner. Actually, I thought you portrayed him beautifully. Perfectly... whiny and all. :) (There's a reason I'm a Deangirl. :) ) Both boys, actually. You did a great job with both. I love the intermixing of humor and allusions to childhood happy-times and other stories. Very well done. I do have a request. :) I'd love to know Laura's reaction to what Dean did. Obviously, you don't have to do that... but I'm curious. Wonderfully done.
