Bitter is indeed a good word to describe their ending. It tore me apart to Mercedes die in Ingway's arms like that ): Originally, I only saw the cutscenes with Ingway from Mercedes's story and the cutscene of their 'ending'. I got quite a surprise when I saw the rest.

I really liked the third paragraph. Theres that charming quality about writing in third person that makes everything seem so distant, but in that way, draws you even closer into the story. This was especially so in that paragraph.

Ingway and Mercedes are the best couple in Odin Sphere, hands down. I'm so sad that she had to die. It was so messed up. I definitely like the scene you're shown when you bring Mercedes to fight the Darkova better than the more canon Cornelius. It choked me up so much. A beautiful story that does justice to the lovely but tragic couple that not even Oswald and Gwendolyn, in all their sweetness, can beat out.

I'd thought of that take on their relationship a little bit too, so I was glad to see that you decided to explore it in writing. I really got a vivid impression of what Ingway was thinking and feeling with this fic. Nicely done!

Hiks...hiks... So sad. I would consider these story of those two as an irony. Nevertheless, this story is a good one :)

Now I fully regret not using Mercedes when I fought the Darkova, at least I should have used her to see the beginning and then die to switch to Cornelius. This story is sweet--and at the same time made me want to cry--good work! Your portrayal of Ingway is right on.
