I agree with Harry. Why did they have to kill it anyway? I may not like those creatures but they deserve better...

Love your story. Really. The flow of the story and its logic, reasonings are far more better than those childlish ones out there in FF.

This is a very interesting start (I didn't read the original, so I will see all this with new eyes)

This scenario is somewhat of a staple, but I don't think they are a lot of really good ones and I'm really enjoying this especially how you show us why Harry is essentially the same person, while still different through circumstances.

I hope Ron and Neville will get another chance with Harry and vice versa (because I like them) but little kids can be so short-tempered.

Also liked the little glimpse of Neville we got to see here.

My only criticism: Please, please check your tenses! I honestly like your style so any mistakes are more glaring and you have in every chapter often at the end slipped into present tense and this really takes one out of the story, because its disruptive to the reading flow.
