Excellent chapter. So Sayu has found a Death Note as well. Interesting. Are the two Death Notes both Ryuks, or does this one belong to another Shinigami? Will Sayu and Steven somehow find out they both have Death Notes and will they work together if they do? I can't wait for the next chapter. Update soon please.

Interesting! I don't know much about Steven yet, so I guess I'll put this on alert.

If you don't mind me asking, why does the whole Steven saga take place 3 years later? I would have thought that Ryuk would have been itching for some excitment. 3 years is a pretty long time to wait. Unless I missed something in the anime or the fic. In that case, I'm sorry for not um, noticing, I guess.

One more thing, I think you should have made Near's Death a little more significant. He only got like, two sentences:

"...the white haired detective clutched his chest."

and

"...the young detective finally stopped moving."

No one seemed to really react to it at all. Near is the second most important charcter in this situation, and I think he deserved a little more than that.

Those two are my only issues with this so far. I'm still looking foward to the next chapter, though.
