Ah, excellent work. I'd always wondered about Umbridge, and rape seems to be a good explanation for why she is the way she is. The idea that someone deserves punishment, and later I think, the self-infliction of punishment in the form of changing her hair color and so forth is wonderful. I imagine she would later become a cutter. Her hate for centaurs, werewolves, and so forth - very well written. I see you haven't updated in some time - if you do, I'd love to read more.

That was brilliant. It completely explained her character. I've never liked Umbridge, but I actually cried when you said "The monsters were going to come eat her, because she was a bad little girl whom no one loved." I don't think the part with the centaur was really necessary though, being abused by Mr. Aidan would have been enough.
