This is a really awesome story, I can't believe there are no reviews for it yet! I always enjoy a good AU whether I'm familiar with the setting (and can anticipate what's going to come next) or not (as in this case where I just get to enjoy finding out things as they happen). This is very well written and I liked how you translated the characters into the different universe but still maintained their characters like John flying and bucking the system and Rodney being an expert in his chosen field. I liked Eddie, too. Usually original characters are kind of a drag, too Mary Sue or Marty Stu or whatever, but Eddie was a cool guy not taking over the story at all. I liked how he grew to care about Rodney despite himself. You put the people in kind of a hopeless situation there, jail time or going against one's principles, but you showed Rodney to be focused more on winning (car stealing? kidnapping?!) than actually caring for the system so it didn't seem too terrible that he decided to run off to Brazil, and he did try to turn John in at first which seems like him. Anyway, I didn't notice any errors that made reading unpleasant and I appreciated it all being one big chapter because I'm amazingly lazy and hate hitting next. :p It's just sad because more chapters seem to get more reviews even if the writing is crappy while really quality stories like this may be lost from the front page and never be appreciated. :( I hope you write more in SGA soon.
