I have to say, I liked both of the 1899 sections better because they were sweeter and I think the writing was better in those, but it was great on a whole, and very cute. I love the whole crack of light Jack wore for a smile metaphor. Very accurate.

David likes the crack of light Jack wears as a smile. He likes catching glimpses of it throughout the day, as Jack collects pennies for papers, basking in its glow when their eyes meet and knowing, without realizing, that the light brightens for him.

I don't know if I have said this before, but this is magic. Pure magic. The imagery is amazing, hon.
