dolphingirl375 2009-06-19 . chapter 4I stumbled back across this story by accident and I'm quite glad I did. It's been two years and you've added two chapters since I last read it...
Chapter three was really poignant. Remus and Tonks were two of my favorites and I was so happy when they finally got together then so devastated when they died. What a terribly sad, touching and sweet little vignette with Teddy and Harry.
Chapter four was very well done. I remember sobbing as I read about Dobby's death and your chapter brought tears to my eyes. I love that more and more house elves showed up every month to hear the story of Dobby.
Well done! Absolutely wonderful. All four chapters were powerful. I do hope you'll think about continuing these at some point or writing more of something, you really have talent. |
Kryptocow 2008-09-08 . chapter 2Oh, I love Neville. That was very fitting to have it from his POV. Collin's death really got to me in the book because it was just so pointless, it just seemed like another death to throw in. Here you made it mean a lot more than JKR did. |
 Confuzzle333 2008-08-24 . chapter 1Hey Coeus. =)
Very nice. I can picture George handling his grief like this. It was well written, too.
You said you weren't trying to make it too angsty, but worried that it may have swung too far the other way. Honestly, I thought you did a good job. Not too angsy, but not too...well, happy-happy joy-jpy sort of thing.
Even though I personally disliked the last book of the Harry Potter series (It felt very rushed, and the overall story...was boring. And Voldemort's defeat was too quick, cliche' and such a let down.), I liked this one-shot.
Good job! =) |
excessivelyperky 2008-04-06 . chapter 4How sweet and wonderful Hugs to Winky!
As for your next one--why not someone who's been left to rot in the Shrieking Shack after dying for those who despised him?
Or is it too painful for people to admit they were wrong about Snape? It would be easy for the Wizarding War to ignore him (and to gradually write out any Slytherin on the side of the Order in the final battle).
I hope you don't. |
excessivelyperky 2008-04-06 . chapter 3I don't care if you don't think this was original, it was still wonderfully well done. Harry and Teddy will have to switch places at some point, though--Teddy to grow up, and Harry to learn how to be a child, if that makes any sense.
I loved this chapter. |
excessivelyperky 2008-04-06 . chapter 2I'd have to say this tribute to Colin Creevey was...picture perfect.
Very good. |
excessivelyperky 2008-04-06 . chapter 1And I know what should be on the gravestone when the two are finally reunited:
JEST TO JEST
NIL SEPARATUM EST
(and any idiot who thinks he can find a honkin' big diamond will undoubtedly be very, very surprised the moment a shovel goes in...).

Moonlit Lightning 2007-10-27 . chapter 4They were all great. My favorite was Colin's, even though Remus is/was my favorite character, and I cried about Dobby most in the book, and Fred was just too awesome to get dead... |
Lambbaby 2007-09-18 . chapter 4I am beyond honored that you think I have any opinion worth valuing when it comes to writing. And I am beyond flattered that you asked me to read your work. I always try to read the work of those who review my stories, because I feel it is only fair, especially since you suffered my pitiful story attempts.
Anyway, these were all wonderful. I found them all to be moving and sad and sweet and all those amazing things a story should be. Both Colin and Teddy's stories in particular really hit me hard.
Is it that obvious, that I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan? I've loved the books since I was in middle school. Its been about been an amazing 8 year journey with Harry and crew.
I noticed on your profile that you have Ayn Rand as a favorite author. Have you read the Fountainhead?
Anyway I now need to get back to work, so I'll wrap this up. Looking forward to more f these pieces though. |
Lambbaby 2007-09-18 . chapter 2I wasn't going to review these till the end. I was planning on doing on mass review but this, this amazingly eloquent, beautifully heart breaking piece required a review right when I read it.
Before I continue let me say that I also enjoyed chapter 1, especially the part where poor George heard Fred's voice in his head finishing all his sentences and thoughts.I found it a wonderful tribute to the boy that was Fred Weasley.
Now onto this chapter. I remember,as do most HP fans, the first time we met Colin. He was just that tiny kid with the camera, who had this crazy amount of admiration and respect for Harry. No one really paid him much attention, even though he continued to pop up throughout the remaining five books.
I always secretly enjoyed Colin. He was undeniably loyal to Harry and never once wavered in his devotion. (at least not that I remember)
I remember the first time I read Deathly Hallows and got to his death. I was working and all the sudden my customer heard me gasp sharply. I just couldn't believe it. He was so sweet and so young and so not supposed to go.
This chapter here was beautiful. The photographs were an amazingly wonderful way to capture the boy, the hero that Colin Creevy was. A picture may be worth a thousand words but Colin's sound like they may be worth so much more.
This was beautiful.Truly beautiful. Now I'm going to go read the other chapters in this story. |
gyuunmaesan 2007-09-06 . chapter 2wow! while i don't know if the room of requirement will ever function again because of the fiendfyre, your take on colin's death was really fitting. I only just remembered that he always took pictures of everything and everyone in Hogwarts. |
Melindaleo 2007-09-02 . chapter 4I think you've done a wonderful job with this piece. I read all four of them today, and I think I liked the one with Harry and Teddy best - particularly the line about Sirius being his great-godfather. Heh - such a Harry thing to say. Thanks for sharing. |
starfishbeliever 2007-09-02 . chapter 4omg, that was really good! I cried so hard when Dobby died, and always imagined how Winky would react... |
samhaincat 2007-09-02 . chapter 4Even though Dobby got the best send off from all the characters who died, you hit a lovely note with describing winky's reaction. I loved the Free elf...again another touching tribute. |
samhaincat 2007-09-02 . chapter 3That was very sweet and touching. I loved how Harry talks about Remus and Tonks. And the little touches of Tonks in her baby - I smiled at the bubblegum pink hair. Beautifully done.
I know one of these days you are going to kill me when you do the snape chapter. I can never forgive her for killing snape - it ruined the whole series for me. |
