 Matsumoto.Kate 2009-12-13 . chapter 1wow I loved your story amazing!!
specially in momment 5 when Snape tells Minerva that is the fifth time they had that conversation it made me laugh :)
great take in hogwart in DH :) |
Iva1201 2009-11-14 . chapter 1Truly excellent and very unique piece. I am very happy to have discovered it! I loved Pomona understanding what Snape needed those herbs for, the detention Ginny had with him - and most of all the ending. The fifth time already? You are really good, Minerva McGonagall, despite you think to hate him! But, yes, it's crucial that you remember he is a liar, a traitor and a murderer. |
annoying talking animal 2009-11-08 . chapter 1This story absolutely amazed me. |
ermoninnyknickers 2009-11-08 . chapter 1Fantastic job! I was always a little disappointed that no one kept trusting Dumbledore's opinion of Snape after he died, so I really loved this fic. Thank you for writing it! :) |
Melric 2009-10-04 . chapter 1 And softer even, he whispered to her in his serpent's voice, "Remember that you hate me, Minerva. I am a traitor, a liar, a murderer."
he always makes me cry, or better said, his part in the story always makes me cry
(and in my opinion this is so canon, it should be included in the book)
you made each moment believable (though i didnt quite understand luna's... and then that might be the point, right?), each character rebuffing the proof in its own way, ginny by an almost unbearable typical griffindor spirit and neville by simply understimating himself, again.
Of course the teachers should find it harder, they have known him in more than one aspect: as a child,a student, a young person, a young man, a death eater, an order member, and in mcgonagals case - as a friend.
"-was no different than it had been for the last seventeen years. Anger and hatred and sheer determination."
"I am exactly what you think I am,"...Yes, that had always been the crux with Severus, hadn't it? The people looking for hidden depths, for a soft core beneath the unpleasant shell, were sorely disappointed.
And he would kill again, to fortify his proof. He was a most ruthless player, this much she had always known. "
As ruthless as to sacrify not only his life, but everything that made it worthwhile in order to win the game.
most i say it?
i love it. |
AngelMoon Girl 2009-08-27 . chapter 1Well-written; I especially like the Neville/Snape part and the McGonagall/Snape part... and how predictable Minerva is ;-) Ah, five times. Tee hee. |
Sinkme 2009-08-18 . chapter 1loved this! there was so much missing in dh and the scenes at hogwarts number very high among that list. that being said i think you captured five very believable moments in a testament to snape's trial during his year as headmaster. i particularly loved the moment with mcgonagall- even if she doesn't remember the truth, snape knows that she cares enough to dig to find it not once, but five times, which i could easily see in keeping with how jk developed mcgonagall. and then snape being forced to obliviate her all those times only makes it sadder. good interaction with ginny and neville- again, crucial development for those two characters that was missed.
very well done |
 RedBrunja 2009-08-09 . chapter 1This was amazing. |
somethingwithatail 2009-05-17 . chapter 1This one-shot is a wonderful insight into what the characters are seeing during the 7th book. I love it. You really kept the hints small enough to be completely believable too. And, it ends so bittersweet. To think if Harry never got the memories from the dying Snape, everyone might still think that Snape was a traitor, a liar, a murderer.
Also, I love that Minerva's figured it out five times already. I love stories that hint that she and Snape are actually friendly rivals that know each other well.
My final comment has to do with Luna's moment of doubt. I don't think I get it completely, and assuming that was the point, it's brilliant. Anything clear for Luna's moment just wouldn't have worked. Great job! |
Yuti-Chan 2009-02-10 . chapter 1Das war genial ^^ Dein Englisch ist echt super! Schreibst du eigentlich noch Fanfiction? |
Rose of the West 2009-02-07 . chapter 1You make some very good points, here. It's well written, too. |
JOdel 2009-01-19 . chapter 1 I do not know whether you are aware that a very high percentage of the readers who have found this story have tacitly accepted it as canon. Or, at least, they have chosen it as *their* preferred canon for 7th year at Hogwarts. Deservedly so.
It is also credited, as an inspiration, in 'The Trains in this Country are a Disgrace,' (aka: the graphic novel that does not exist), and its novelization.
I do not know whether you are familiar with my site, Red Hen Publications, but I would be very grateful if you would e-mail me at AOL, to discuss a potential project.
Thank you for your time and attention.
To say noting of the entertainment value of an excellent story. |
Stronghammer 2009-01-09 . chapter 1I was completely caught up in the grittiness of your story, so then Snape's last comment was completely unexpected. How that man must have been filled with self-loathing. And love for Dumbledore. You wrote a spectacular inside look on the war in Hogwarts. |
 quantum 2008-11-12 . chapter 1 superb. |
 steelkat10 2008-08-18 . chapter 1This is awesome. I love Nevilles part and McGonagall's. |
