It's really refreshing to read something where Brennan really thinks about her family, but doesn't turn into a sobbing puddle weakling. Your characterizations were spot on, especially Booth's. My favorite line was "...Trust me, you sit at the cool kids table." My only suggestion is to try combining some of the shorter paragaphs together. You have the same ideas, but they're broken up.
