It really opened my eyes to the other characters in the story, because most of the fanfics are about the Curtis Brothers and so on, and we know enough about them. I think you did a really great job at giving Evie a "character" to herself, because most people think shes a snobby greaser girl, and you get the idea that's she's a person too! And I really liked to see Steve's other side, and his relationship. Very well done, in other words. :D

Your characterization is really great and this is all very well-written. I also love the way you write Steve and Evie; they're a terrific canon pairing (if a little dysfunctional, but that goes without saying), and you really brought them to life. Steves character was awesome, and I thought you did a great job making Evie believable and giving her a voice. All the thoughts and emotions were really well described. I loved the last paragraph too.
So Confusingly Amusing 2007-07-24 ch 1,	abuseSteve and Evie are probably my favorite canon pairing. There is just that something about Steve that makes me love him so much and this story was absolutely perfect. Of Soda and Sandy, Two-Bit and Kathy and Dally and Sylvia, Steve and Evie are the only ones I can see actually lasting through and maybe even get married. They are definitely something different and you really captured that. This definitely tugs at the heart strings. Great job.

I loved your's, though. She wasn't a total b*tch like some people put her as, but she wasn't Mrs. Happy-Go-Lucky. I kinda pictured her this way--being nice at points, though what she said to her brother was mean. Hehe, I say stuff like that all the time to people that make me mad. I hope you'll write another story on Evie, because you write her so well. I'll be looking forward to reading more of your work :)
