I like it; it adds more depth to the original story, while keeping the charachters and setting intact. One problem though, is that many of the charachters recieved little or no "screen time". But I can just assume that was becuase you were focussing on Zidane for the majority of the time. I especailly like the chapter(s) about Beatrix, who is also kicked out of the story a way in. They had a very surreal feeling, which i liked. Well, good job.

Wow, I love this story ALOT it's just as got as the game if not better, everything is explained so well I can picture it all perfectly in my head. Thank you for making my free time less boring.

I know you've completed this fic quite some time ago, but I enjoyed it so much I felt that I should review.
The game itself is my favorite, but the plot has quite a few gaps that may seem confusing and may leave many questions. This story was wonderful because it added so much depth to the original story line of FFIX. I really liked how you gave further detail to certain events of the game.
There is only one thing that disappointed me a bit, however. In FFIX, during the Treno card tournament, Amarant tells Freya about how he first encountered Zidane, outside the King's mansion, where Zidane blackmailed Amarant. I had looked forward to you perhaps detailing this part of the original story, but you left it out. That's okay though, cuz there probably wasn't too much that could have been done with that incident, at least nothing I think up.
Other than that, this story was excellent and I really liked how you ended it. It was sad where Vivi passed away, but filled with hope for the Genomes. One of the very best FFIX fics I've ever read.

I really don't get it.

Everything you write is so…so real. It's so believable that sometimes I hardly believe this is fanfiction. My writings are NOTHING compared to what you've conjured. Everything's so original and so detailed that it's almost like it should have happened, but the producers and game designers never really had to time to add it. And it's very unfortunate that what inspiration I get from your stories can't be used, because you've already created works of art with such inspiration. I'm a poor lost soul compared to such artists like yourself. But hey, I try.

I am amazed and far from speechless. I was even a little apprehensive when I started reading this fic because, thus far, I have read them backwards (Death of a Fairy Tale, The Ways of Will, and now this) and thought there would be no surprises left. However, not only was I COMPLETELY wrong, but I found myself feeling the same way I did when I played the game for the first time (C'mon, everyone here knows what I'm talking about...) So I don't merely suggest you keep writing... (especially Death of a Fairy Tale, which is recieving more neglect than it deserves... grr! Off topic!) but... thanks?
