Wow, what a twist! The concept of Hojo giving Vincent to Lucrecia as a present of some sort is... totally awesome, and something I've certainly never seen or thought of. Props to coming up with it, I'd love to see the second story you mentioned!

I liked this one–I agree, its a very different take on the dear Lucrecia Crescent, but I like it a lot more.
She's always portrayed as this angel (with the weird ponytail), with an Aeris sort of holyness about her, or something. I.E. too close to being a Mary-Sue.
And I never really did undertand why she would have chosen Hojo in the first place. I mean, sure, for work, perhaps, but then you have to question her morals.
So I really like this. And of course, while I do respect her as a character, a few hints of Lucrecia-bashing never does any harm ;P

Exciting to read the events from such an unusual and distorted perspective. I quite enjoyed this short piece. The warring emotions within Vincent are expertly exhibited, and I even smell a hint of Stockholm Syndrome. Why else, after thirty years, would he continue to visit the crystallized form of his tormentor if he did not have some sort of attachment or tie to her? Fascinating. From the cut scenes I have seen of Dirge of Cerberus, I had taken Lucrecia to be a fairly innocent and naive laboratory technician shocked by the extent of the alterations to the firearm specialist. I somehow find your description of her better suited to the character, regardless of Squenix's confusing canon. Well done.

Wow, this is really interesting. The writing flows so well and you captured the emotions very strongly. I love the portrayal of Lucrecia and what draws her to Hojo. You were right about labelling this AU though, because Vincent definitely doesn't hate her. But the writing is very, very good - this was a pleasure to read. :)

Oh..wow! A very good one-shot..! At first, before I really knew about Vincent's past, and I heard about Lucrecia, I automatically hated her- she seemed so stupid to me! She still kinda does, but...I digress.
I can easily recognize Vincent's feelings in this, and the writing and flow of it all makes me feel like I'm reading a diary entry.. Wonderful job!!
