Alright, it's been bugging me for a while, but I have to say that Sirius' attitude is really starting to get on my nerves. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure whatever the Potters did (undoubtedly something to do with Orion/Harry and you've hinted at them accusing Sirius of ruining their lives) was an awful decision and it had long-reaching, hard consequences (the least of which would be that Sirius ended up adopting Harry), and I can imagine some pretty horrible things that they could have done, but Sirius not at least accepting their apology and refusing to acknowledge their efforts to make it up (even if they never can) is only hurting everyone in the long run, not the least of which is the children. I really want to walk up to him and say something along the lines of "you don't have to forgive them, but can you stop being a jerk to them so you don't teach it to the children and end up hurting them far worse than the Potters ever hurt you"? Although I'm betting a lot of that hurt comes from what happened to Orion...

Anyway, I just have to say that I do not think what Sirius is doing is right and it's really bothering me because justified or not, it's not something that should be put into a positive light imo.

Truthfully, I'm hoping it's a character flaw that, if it isn't fixed/remedied by the end of the series, ends up being exposed for doing the damage it will do.

I also don't think that holding a grudge will hurt the Potters as much as it will hurt Sirius and the children. Holding a grudge is, after all, like drinking a bottle of poison and waiting for the other person to die.

grrr... I was actually getting excited for this series before you added the bitch... Sirius doesn't need a woman, dangit! And it's just obvious they will get together (she was in the mirror for crying out loud), which just saddens me. Oh, how the great Sirius has fallen. :P

There is one thing that I believe is of the utmost importance, and that is believable character behaviour.

When you explain a characters traits and personality you have to write them in accordance to those boundaries. There has to be a logical reason for someone to act a certain way.

You made Orion act in an inconceivable way compared to his personality and history. Everything that we have read about him has told us that he would have alerted Dumbles if not forcibly taken the diary and given it to Him.

Sadly this isn't the only occurrence of poor character behaviour and logical story progression. because of this the quality of this story has become sorely lacking and far less enjoyable, I will however continue reading and hope that these occurrences will lessen and not accumulate.

I liked this saga as well. I liked how you added a moral to the story and showed them maturing and slowly preparing and growing up. I cant wait to read more about Orion.

Loving this fic already i don't normally review a completed story until the end but i had to tell you how much this line made me laugh "Please inform Rose that her mother is in the fire." i know it's probably not written to be funny with floo powder and all but as soon as i read it i burst out laughing, just imagining Lily being burnt in a fire, gee that sounds a little macabre well it was funny when i first read it. anyway nice fic, it's my bed time now so I'll finish this tomorrow
