And then someone is going to ask what he was reading and he is going to shut the computer closed and slightly yell out, "NOTHING!" And have shifty eyes. And then him and that person will argue about it...i can picture it as Matsuda and Light-o...

Rather interesting. I think there should be more of a difference between the entries and the present, but it's rather clear all the same. Or maybe... just stick with the entries and just show Light's reaction through L's deduction and predictions, and an epilogue. (That's what I would do. It is a suggestion, but feel free to disregard it completely.)

I did enjoy reading this and I hope you continue the story. It is a very good idea.

I really hope there is more. It's a lovely story, and perfectly fits with L's character. And he did leave something like it anyway - the case files Light found on L's computer, which displyed a foreknowledge of his death. I do like this, and hope you'll continue it. YOu have a good grasp of the language they both use also, a higher one than most, I think. Both L and Light are very much in character, and I would like to say thank you for this delightful read.

I'm really liking this, and I was surprised because I've never been drawn to tales about L's past - I love the mystery too much! However you've really found a nice voice for him here and it's very nicely written, interesting without too heavy.

And I love the way your including the present day Light in this too :o)
