I absolutely adore this! I love how you didn't follow the usual Neville-is-the-Boy-Who-Lived plot, and instead changed up some of the events and names. It's very original!

Ah, you already know what I think of this chapter. :D Loads of fun. I love what you've done with Draco, making him a bit more humble, what with Lucius locked away. I can tell he spends a lot of time apologizing to the world on his father's behalf.

Neville, of course, is adorable, simply because he is. Wishing he was a Squib, pouring out his heart to Trevor, feeling embarrassed every time they go out in public, you feel so bad for the poor kid.

Best part, I think, was when he was trying the wands, got the holly and phoenix feather one, and it just didn't do anything. :P Now there's a twist. And it's a lovely ref back to canon.

Can't wait for chapter 3!

'Tis a beautiful start to the fic! :D Seriously, it's wonderful. I almost forgot I was reading a fanfic a couple of times in the middle; I literally kinda jolted in my seat and thought, "Waitaminute, this isn't Rowling, this is Rii. *cannot tell difference*" In short, a wonderful start, and I can't wait to see the next chapter.

I particularly liked the references to Vernon Dursley and the Lestranges. Nice little ties back to canon you've got going on there. :D

Hope this is planned out to be more of a mirror of the books with Neville written in for Harry. I'll be keeping an eye out for the next chapter, and I like what I see so far.
