kitcat19us 2009-05-03 . chapter 3I loved all these stories. I loved the Karen and Bill stories a lot. I also loved the Audrey story to.. |
JustCallMeMarly 2008-01-06 . chapter 3This is a really sweet fic... Loved every second of it. I really want Bill to find happiness. And I love Jack & Audrey. Every moment they're not happy apart, I really want them to be happy together. So, of course, this story soothed all those pains. So thanks! Love it. Definitely one of my favorites. |
Flight of Folly 2007-09-23 . chapter 3Three reviews in one afternoon- two things are obvious, this story is a page-turner and I need to find something to do with my spare time! I loved the ending of this story; the return to Vermont completed the full circle and filled in all the missing details. However, that is not to say that an epilogue wouldn't be a nice addition (hint, hint!)
I really liked Jack's moment of realisation after losing focus during his operation; it was perfectly crafted. I also enjoyed the little comic touches like Larry and the eggnog, and Jack's decorating spree. However, I was a tad concerned about Audrey's taste in music: continuous Christmas carols?
Congratulations on another wonderful story. Looking forward to your next one,

Flight of Folly 2007-09-23 . chapter 2I loved the last line! It was very satisfying to see (or read about) Bill and Karen living the 'happily ever after' dream. And while it was interesting to find out how Bill and Karen could bankroll their early retirement, the details of Bill's genealogy were a tad overwhelming. It's a really great thought to be in a position to have both the time and money to follow ones wildest dream. Maybe when I marry that millionaire! Golf and gardening are a little cliché, but Duffer was a great story addition. Poor Bill, there is nothing harder on the fragile male ego than losing to your wife!
So you think that Chloe and Morris stand a chance at not killing each other or turning Mary into the world's most neurotic kid? I'm not convinced; actually, I'm still not sure what the 24 writers were thinking (or if they even where) when they wrote that side-arc. However, in spite of the breadth of Doyle and Nadia stories, I agree that they seem an unlikely couple and certainly has a lot of underlaying guilt issues to deal with, but then I guess one can say the seem about Jack and Audrey. Here's hoping that Karen, the heavy-handed cupid, actually did as much good as Bill believes she did.

Flight of Folly 2007-09-23 . chapter 1This resolution chapter was at least a hundred times better than the cheesy conclusion that the 24 writers came up with! Your portrayal of Bill in this chapter was perfect. I was pleased to see that his first phone call with Karen was barely cordial; he certainly had a right to be upset at her actions. On the other hand, I was even more pleased with his reversal in the second phone call. I love a happy ending and Bill and Karen make a great couple, especially in your hands.
They say that good advise is easy to give, and hard to take. Certainly Jack was more capable of helping Bill straighten out his marriage with Karen than tackling the debris of his relationship with Audrey. But then you might have something planned on that front!
I have a question for you: what are lounge pants? Obviously they are a piece of clothing one wears when lounging around the house/ sleeping but are we talking about a pair of pyjama pants or sweat pants? My American is pretty good (far too many US shows and movies) but that word just isn't in my vocabulary.

PS. Loved Bill cooking breakfast at dinnertime because that was his forte! And I couldn't help but notice that male trait of using twice as many pans as necessary. At least we know in this case that he had to clean them himself. |
BrittanyLS 2007-09-04 . chapter 3Absolute perfection!! I cannot tell you how much I loved it! This last chapter made me smile while I was reading it. I love when I get so involved in a story like this. Thank you for the all-around happy ending!
I'm just hoping I can make it through a season where there is little hope of Audrey coming back this time. |
BrittanyLS 2007-09-04 . chapter 2Bill and Karen are adorable!! Good for her for trying to knock some sense into Jack about being with Audrey!! |
Jen Thompson 2007-09-01 . chapter 3 I really enjoyed your story. Only thing I found missing was a reconcilliation with Kim. I think it would be good to see that resolution. Maybe a short sequel/one-shot follow-up?
You captured the characters well and it was interesting to see where you took Jack. Well done! |
Huddyalways-24-BK-MA 2007-08-31 . chapter 3Hey! I meant to review when I read the chapter tuesday, but I was interupted and ended up taking off, so I just wanted to say the this is now one of my fave fics! You really did such a great job, as you always do! The whole thing is just amazing! I like the way you ended it, really sweet, and I like that Audrey and Jack ended up together! So great job again! I'm just sad it's over! :( lol ^_^ |
YellowPrimrose 2007-08-30 . chapter 3Aw, what an adorable ending! It almost makes me forget about how depressing last season was. As for the mood you were trying to convey, it really put me in the mood for Christmas! Great work, it was very sweet and touching and therapeutic!
I was glad to see Jack and Audrey resolve the tension between his commitment to fieldwork and their ability (and need) to lead a normal life and have normal relationships. That issue, as you noted, caused friction between them since their relationship first appeared on the show. I wonder if Jack will ever be done with that part of his life. I liked how the Damascus story showed how Jack realized that he needs more in his life than his work. After his ordeal in China, I think that such a change in his outlook makes sense. It took him time to realize this (even throwing himself back in his old work), but he was finally able to remove himself from it and share a life with Audrey.
The idea of a Christmas gathering at the Buchanans’ and of Bill and Karen as the proud sort-of-parents to the group (especially now that Jack is without a father and Audrey has lost both parents) is lovely to imagine. I do love happy endings. I just wish that I could really read Jack and Bill’s books! |
twentyfour.mad 2007-08-30 . chapter 3Really loved the last chapter, a terrific ending to an excellent story. I liked how each chapter was written, with the focuses on the main characters Jack corresponds to, during the story. Excellent as always!

24fan 2007-08-30 . chapter 3 Finally! I love happy endings! Loved the reunion and the gathering at Bill and Karen's house. Just one remark - I think the very last paragraph is a bit too much. But I understand your difficulties. Anyway, great job, as always, and I'm waiting for the next visit of your mood. |
Palmer4President 2007-08-29 . chapter 3What a great chapter! I'm so glad that Jack finally came to his senses and decided to settle down with Audrey. It's about time! I also absolutely loved the ending with the gathering of everyone at the Buchanans' house in Vermont. I thought it was very cool how you had Bill and Karen being the "proud parents," so to speak, of the group, because that definitely makes sense. Wonderful chapter, and I can't wait for the next one! |
24andMummyfan 2007-08-28 . chapter 3Fantastic story so far. I love the way you write and I can visualize everything in my head. Please update soon. |
Macadamia Nutcase 2007-08-28 . chapter 3Great ending to another great story. Loved the reconciliation between Jack and Audrey and the happy reunion in Vermont with Bill and Karen watching over the CTU brood. This was beautifully written as always. I hope you're inspired with another story soon! |
