abuseThis is good story man, sucks though, that Yusuke's ma is dead. I can only guess at what happened to her for that to happen, and none of them involving anything of natural death. But, Yusuke did prevent alot things from happening compared to this story in the Canon. Cuz seeing as how that if he stayed home, his ma, even if she kept getting drunk, her kid was always there to pull her out of it in her times of need. With him gone, it's not really surprising she's gone now. Well, I hope you update soon, ja ne.

abuseYou are a writer of legendary status and I like the fact that every story you've composed continues to follow your earlier and excellent standards.

Being a big fan of Yu Yu Hakusho, I'm happy to know that someone finally decided to explore this possible plotline. Yusuke being trained by Raizen from an early age. I get giddy just imagining where you could take this.

I just wanted to show some love so that this story won't die. Praises be showered upon you.

abuseOnce in the the first chapter and again in this chapter you wrote the word 'bawls' which is a word used to describe a baby's cry. I think the word you were looking for was bowels, as in "The bowels of hell."

abuseYes, Yusuke/Raizen should be in the Dark Tournament! Hands down one of the best scenes I can imagine: all the cocky bastards being put in their place by another cocky bastard. It would make sense for Yusuke to be the 5th team member anyway, it would allow genkai (should she come to the tournament at all) time to train Keiko, and prepair her for the ability transfer thing.

[in a personal, non related opinion, I dont think Keiko could handle the pain Yusuke went through when he got the orb. Unless you plan to make Keiko stronger in a totally different way, kuz right now, she can't compete. Just keep in mind that we havent seen any incentive on her tolerance for pain.]

Great job with the story, i hope you keep writing. This is one more great thing i get to look foreward to when i get on the computer. Well done.

abuseVery nice chapter, I quite enjoyed it. And you're welcome for the betaing. Now then... let's get around to expressing my opinions on the chapter.

First thing that's worth mentioning is we get to see King Enma's reaction to hearing about the New Raizen in the Human World. It was also great to hear a little more backstory on how Spirit World has been trying to control Makai. I enjoyed that part immensenly!

Another thing to notice is that Keiko's homelife has really... how shall I say?... gone downhill. At least with her mother. I'm curious if this is a result of their initial argument way back in the beginning of the story or if there is something more to it. I wonder how her father fits into this. Is he like his wife, or is he more sympathetic to Keiko?

And of course, we see what has become of Yusuke/New Raizen's mother... she has passed away. I wonder when Yusuke found out about it, because I got the impression he knew about it before arriving. I would assume that the reason his mother passed away was because she was heartbroken about her son leaving. Or is it possible... could she had been assissinated by one of the other Kings or other high level demons that would bear Yusuke and/or Raizen a grudge? If you can't kill them, go after the people they care about is a typical bad guy stragety. Hmm... well, guess I'll have to wait and see what the circumstances are like when they are revealed.

Overall, a short chapter, but still a excellent one. And considering what the next chapter is called "Lamenting Beauty", I dare say we might get a tender Keiko/Yusuke moment. That ought to be both fun and awkward. Regardless if it is or not, I eagerly await the next chapter.

abuse'Honestly, that girl had a real problem with her temper!' -cough- I'd say the same for Raizen/Yusuke.
Yusuke's display of remorse caught my eye as a prominent point.
I wonder about Keiko's feelings towards Raizen/Yusuke will be like when she only knows him as Raizen. This chapter's display seems to be a bit of an introduction. Or am I completely off track? I tend to do that. My guesses aren't commonly perceptive.
Raizen/Yusuke's training racket coupled with Genkai's morning bad attitude was amusing.

abuseAre you implying that the only reason Atsuko managed to live in the manga was to take care of Yuusuke? That if she didn't have her son to focus on she would have died before reaching her 28th birthday? What the hell happened to her?
As for what happened with Keiko and her folks... or things about Enma and his plans, etc... all that is pretty obvious.
