Oh, that's funny! I love the line about the office gossip pool, and the one about Greg making a fashion statement with his mismatched clothes. Those were honest to goodness laugh out loud funny lines! I also adore "overprotective, fatherly" Brass. That's a characterization that pops up quite frequently in fanfic, and I think it has some definite base in the canon character.

So, in the end, great fic! Thanks for sharing it.

Brilliant little oneshot here. I was grinning madly in places and I love the fact that Gil doesn't say anything really incriminating but it's obvious what he knows what's going on. Hope that made sense.

Ah, that was great. But now I have this weird image in my head of Brass as a sort of protective mama bear, fur bristling at the irresponsible father :)

As always, a thoughtful story, well written. You are very comfortable with the characters and create plausible predicaments for them.
