abuseI really enjoyed reading this story.

It's unfortunate that Adama didn't get to enjoy the presence of a Galaxy-class in the fleet at this time.

abuseI hope this means you'll be updating more frequently now that you've found time to write again. Training is always good and technology like shields, holodecks, transporters, and replicators must be like fairy tales to the Colonials. Will we be seeing more of Roslin in the future? And how long will it be before Janway and company discover that Tigh is a cylon?

Please update when you can. I really curious about where this story is heading.

abuseAlthough it turns my stomach, I could see Baltar seducing/tricking Seven into sleeping with him, but only once.

She is too naive and inexperience to deal with an operator like Baltar if he starts making moves on her. As long as he's smart enough to avoid doing or saying anything when they're not alone, he might be able to get her guard down long enough to take advantage of her own guilt over her actions as a drone. That mixed with her quest to rediscover her humanity leaves her wide open to a lizard like Gaius Baltar.

That said, she'd probably rip him in two afterwords.

abuseFirstly, I have to compliment you on your writing abilities; given that I’ve never actually SEEN an episode of ‘Battlestar Galactica’, you’ve managed to create a remarkably detailed picture of that series here that I can easily enjoy.
Plus, of course, as a long-time “Star Trek” fan- I haven’t seen many episodes of the original series or “DS9”, but what I have seen I’ve always liked- your use of “Star Trek” history in explaining how the Twelve Colonies can exist in the same universe as Starfleet is particularly appealing, demonstrating that you put a great amount of thought into how two such apparently different groups of humanity can be ‘reconciled’- given their drastic technological and historical differences- in such a manner as to allow them to exist in the same universe.
As for the character dynamics you’re developing here, with the “Galactica” crew having to adjust to the existence of aliens- to say nothing of the uncertainty about how the Colonists on a large scale would react to the news that the Doctor’s an AI- and the “Voyager” crew coping with their newfound responsibility to help the colonists get to Earth safely despite their own limited resources…
BRILLIANTLY well thought-out, really.
Even if I DO hope that the two crews manage to find a way to cope with the ever-present fuel problem they’re facing right now; with that Hirogen fleet on the way, I have a feeling they’ll need to get moving ASAP if they want to stay intact.
Just out of curiosity, couldn’t it be possible for “Voyager” to either replicate tyrlium or find some element known to Federation science- rather than Colonial science- that does just as good a job at powering the jump drives, or are the drives so specific that only tyrlium can power them?
Well, hope you update this story soon; I would DEFINITELY like to see where this goes!

abuseI'm really enjoying this story great premise and storyline I hope it continues. Hope you don't mind the rest of this.

I've started writing a ST: Voyager xover and since reading your story would like to incorperate the premise of it into mine.

Basic outline as follows:

Starting with Star Trek: Enterprise in the most hated episode 'Regeneration'. The Borg have a diffierent goal in mind and

they will be acting more like Borg should and be more consistent with their adaptations, so that Archer and Malcolm won't get

to kill fifteen Borg before they start to adapt and the Borg won't be attacking them until they try to mess with the

transwarp coil. There will be a shield around the transwarp coil as should be and since these Borg come from the future that

is where they will be going, with the Enterprise hot on their tail. The explosion won't do any real damage, but they finally

get their systems fully operational, recall their boarding party and generate their transwarp/Time corridor to go back to the

Delta Quadrant.

They will be emerging in the Delta Quadrant in the year 2374 Voyager at the end of the ST: Voyager Episode 'Message in a

Bottle'. A xover, just for fun, will be seconds after the Doctor arrives a second transmission reaches Voyager across the

network, origin unknown. Three apparent nude humans appear in sickbay, an older female, a young female and a young male.

Travelers from Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles, Pilot. Cameron/Seven non-slash, should interesting. Yet another will

occur as when the Doctor returns he brings with him volunteer crew replacements from Starfleet to include among others; (now)

ADM Montgomery Scott (Chief designer of the Intrepid and Prometheus classes), CDR Data, CDR Troi, CDR Shelby, some close long

time close friends of Harry Kim, two cousins of Annika Hansen (Seven) and others present on the Starfleet ships engaging the

Prometheus, totaling 40 new personnel bringing the crew total to 155, any suggestions. They will arrive thanks to Scotty's

adaptation of some biocylinders, incorperating a transporter buffer matrix to hold their patterns in stasis; ST: TNG Relics'.

Before or just after the ST: Voyager Episode 'Hunters' is when your story line would come in, adapted accordingly of course.

I'm estimating the time between 'Message in a Bottle' and 'Hunters' to be in the range of 3 to 4 weeks.

During the ST: Voyager Episode 'Hunters' is when Barclay would succeed in using the network along with the Midas Array to and

a high powered transporter beam to send 6 small starships to Voyager: 2 Defiant class, 2 Klingon Birds of Prey 1 Akira class

and 1 K'Vort class with accompaning crews of course. The Klingons go because of B'Elanna's mother.

Never really liked the way Voyager started. Why was Chakotay being chased at all and why so determinedly? My take is

Chakotay's Cell got intel of a Cardassian prisoner camp where Maquis and Federation prisoners were being held so he organizes

a rescue to liberate them. Very embarrassing for the Cardassians. Prisoners liberated total 10 to include: Ensign Sito Jaxa,

Ro Laren, Thomas Riker, Sub-Commander Sela and a member to the Tal Shiar, the Romulan Praetor's either daughter or grand

daughter. Of course then every single episode from ST: Voyager 'Caretaker' would have to be re-written. Not fun and maybe

some of the novels added in between.

Meanwhile back at Starfleet HQ, Barclay, with impromptu designs from Scotty will attempt to use the MIDAS Array and/or the

Hirogen Array to send an updated Galaxy class Starship for extended operation out of communcation of Starfleet via

transporter to Voyager, but that will probably fall through and they'll end up having to generate a micro-wormhole. What do

you think, is it doable? It's going to be HUGE!

abuseNice to see that this fanfic is still active. I can not wait to see the next chapter. I have to admit that this one took me by surprise with how it dealt with the end of the last chapter.

ch 9,
abusethis if for chapter10 and 11..after reading chapter 10 again&learning that the Hirogen attack was a holodeck simulation in chapter11, it would be interesting to see how the colonials react to a borg attack...maybe the borg would reject assimilating the cylons as inferior but would assimilate their jump drive tech if they can...

another thing to consider is that in the ST: Voyager OTL, the Geodesic Fold tech that the Ferrengi used would allow Voyager to travel from a star in the Delta Quadrant to the Alpha Quadrant...after Starfleet learns that the jump drive tech is viable, will they take the next logical step in testing a geodesic fold from a star in the AQ to the DQ and maybe send a relief fleet to assist Voyager...the colonials won't be able to do a geodesic fold near a star since their ships are barely running&won't survive going near it so they have to go to the AQ the long way...maybe starfleet can construct a dedicated Jumpgate near a star in the AQ to a known star in the DQ like nearby the 37's planet...maybe starfleet can send an automated self-building equipment to a star in the DQ to build the other end of the Jumpgate...

finally would 7of9 notice that Baltar seems to be talking to someone in his head...since she too has the occasional msg from the Borg queen, 7 would notice that Baltar might not be delusional at all&might be in contact with the cylons in some way like a typical borg drone...

ch 11,
abuseMagnificient! After the cliff hanger of the previous chapter, going into this one well invested all ready. The beauty of knowing its an AU meant when thing went seriously wrong it really could have instead of what it turned out to be. While at first the temptation to cry 'foul!' was there it was handled in such away that it made its own story and flavored the setting in which both of these shows are blended so well in this story. Thank you for this chapter and I hope more come soon!

abusegood update...at this point, if Voyager is still inside the nebula, they have enough energy and raw materials to share with the Galactica...i assume that they can lend a food replicator considering how the Kazon had tried to build their own...the problem with the replicator was the amount of energy it required...with the hydrogen&hydrocarbons found in the nebula, all they need now is a working fusion reactor...as for Starfleet, after testing the geodesic fold tech of the colonials, i'd send an escort fleet of over some dozen vessels to escort the colonials into the Alpha quadrant...those vessels should include some mobile shipyards, some medical ships and supply/fuel ships as well...this new FTL tech is that much worth to Starfleet&it would be criminally ignorant of them not to send a relief fleet to assist Voyager in escorting the colonial fleet which is composed of over some dozen ships...this is a good opportunity for Starfleet to send their tactical explorer ships like the Prometheus, Sovereigns and Galaxy class ships along with smaller escort ships for use in the relief fleet...
