Leaf-chan 2008-09-06 . chapter 9HI!^^ I´m a reader from Austria and I really like your story! I admire you for coming this far! Most Self insertions (especially FFIX) don´t even last this long! You probably won´t continue to write this story just because I wrote this (and I can understand you somehow, losing your Chapter this often isn´t fun at all), but I want you to know that if you ever decide to write on this Story again someday, I would love to read your new Chapters!^__^
I really love self insertions by the way!*-*
I´m new on and I hope my english isn´t to bad!XP I never had good marks in english! I´m very good at reading english texts, stories, etc., but I am not good at writing...at all...!*sigh* |
Recollection 2008-08-17 . chapter 9Ah... I'm sorry to hear that.
You're not awful. You wrote this better than many. |
Rozen14 2008-07-25 . chapter 9Oh please dont give up on this story! Its pure gold! Its funny especially the part of when you wrote the whole "SPONGEBOB PAWNS YOU ALL DAMMIT!" XD You made a whole lot of authors happy with this story! I want to see you make fun of Steiner some more! I really love this story! |
Shichimon 2008-07-21 . chapter 9NO! You're story is one of the few I've come across that is actually good - it's interesting and funny, you've balanced description/action/dialogue perfectly and I honestly can't think of any kind of criticism (constructive or otherwise). I was a bit miffed at the change of viewpoint when switching from Daisy to Zidane but you pulled it off really well :3 I really hope you find your USB or I might just go CRAZY *reads your recommended authors in attempt to stave off the crazy* |
Tamuril Telrunye 2008-07-13 . chapter 9NU! *clings too* Dont give up! Just give yerself some time! I love this fic dearly. |
thunderyoshi 2008-07-09 . chapter 9Aw...I really enjoy this story, I hope you can find your usb! |
Robby Cartwright 2008-06-12 . chapter 8GREAT story! Hope you update soon! |
Gray Wolf Demon 2008-06-07 . chapter 8That was very interesting. As always loved the witty banter and I thought the piggy back was really cute. That was enough of a cliff hanger for me. Now I really want to know what happens. Can't wait for the next chap. ^__^ |
Gray Wolf Demon 2008-06-07 . chapter 7I never thought of potions as unintelligent healing, but it makes perfect sense. I loved the banter between Zidane and Daisy. That was a great chapter. |
 Xox-Koneko-xoX 2008-05-18 . chapter 8You're story's really good! you should hurry up and make a new chapter! ^_^ |
Tabansi232 2008-05-07 . chapter 8HAPPY VERY BELATED BIRTHDAY! *glomps and gives buckets of tabansi-cookies*
I had to laugh with the whole Wizard of Oz bit since my school is actually doing that play tomorrow. What a coincidence? Unfortunately, your version is much better than their version is.
Gasp! D8 Vivi doesn't know what a piggyback ride is? The poor, poor child. He has been missing out in one of the greatest reasons there are other people on Earth/Gaia. Piggyback him, Daisy! Piggyback him like you've never piggybacked someone before!
What IS British, Daisy? XD And I'm surprised there hasn't been much talk about her accent. Unless everyone has the same accent or having different accents is normal... Ah, I dunno.
Attack of the splodges! Run! XD God, I love that word...
Man, you've made the Wyerds incredibly creepy. Now I really don't want to replay the game at that part. I'll be looking around for...dead bodies and such.
Your battle scenes are pretty top notch. How are you able to do them that well? DX What's yours and Krimson's secret!?
Zidane's POV (in 3rd person) was awesome, and you've definitely kept him in character. You're just too good at this, Newt. Where do you get your amazing writing ability from?
And I give you those cookies to share my love--not for you to get fat off of. :P And that advertisement was still love, since I don't know many people who advertise on their own birthday for the benefit of other people. XP You spoil us, and we love you to death for it.
And that cliffhanger will be destroyed soon! Right? Right? D8
Loves, hugs, cookies, and cheers,
Brandy |
Flamedancer33 2008-04-24 . chapter 5Always glad to contribute to a cause. And the turnip is a joke between my friends, as I once nailed my best friend with one and gave her a bruise the size of a grapefruit. It's probably best not to ask why we had a turnip, never mind why we were throwing it at each other.
My cat is still alive for two reasons. 1- she catches mice. That is the only reason my landlady tolerates her. 2- she's a quick little monster. It's like watching a tabby-striped guided missile go shooting past, making it very difficult to catch her.
The friendlies were decent for me until the yan. Before that one it was okay, nice bonus AP points but it wasn't necessary. Then the Yan ran away and I practically climbed the walls looking for the one missing. And the Ragtime Mouse was just eh. My main response to him was, I have been playing this game for forty-five minutes, how the hell should I know what war was fought when?
You can say snobbiness comes naturally to me too, as I live in Johnson County which is something like the third richest county in the States. That is sad, really, as I live in Kansas, the only place on Earth to be defined wholy by one forty-plus-year-old movie. It's kind of embarrassing when you have to pull out an atlas and say 'See this 400 mile stretch of nothing in the middle of the country? That's where I live. And no, I haven't seen Dorothy lately, but I will kind of weakly laugh and pretend I haven't heard that joke twenty-seven times before.'
I just read this story through a second time, because I have homework and am trying to avoid it, and I must say it gets better the second time around. There is a small math error in chapter 2, with the change from the cafe. Besides that, though, iz all good.
And I have no cookies, but I do have slightly-underbaked brownies. There is no need to kill me, I won't tell anyone. And let's watch the review count climb one higher. Maybe I'll do this the smarter way when I run out of chapters. We'll see. |
Flamedancer33 2008-04-24 . chapter 6Ya know, there's probably an easier way to reply to a reply to a review but I'm too thick to figure it out. I'm actually pretty smart, I just have the observational powers of a turnip. This tends to make me look stupid as I, say, open the same emergency-exit-only door twice in one day.
Yes, a new laptop. Not that there was anything wrong with the old one, mind you, save that it was possessed by an evil demon and my loving cat decided to free my soul by pushing the laptop off the edge of a bookcase. So until next weekend I am depending on the campus library and my mother's computer.
Glad to hear about the Friendly Monsters. They bugged the hell out of me, especially since I missed one. Of course, I learned this from the Friendly Yan after about twenty Unfriendly Yans 'snorted' my whole party right out of battle. The little freak ran away and I was like 'and now you DIE.'
By the way, I absolutely love the brother-sister relationship between Daisy and Zidane in this chapter. I have no siblings, but I do have a cousin my age, and we are exactly like that when we get around each other. It's a given that Zidane will flirt with anything that is female and breathes, but he isn't going 'oh forget Garnet I can only love Daisy', which is the main reason I don't read SIs. This is good though, and don't I sound all snobby?
I need to stop this, really. These just keep getting longer and longer. Still, respond and I will review, or maybe actually figure out how to respond the correct way, because I do enjoy making people happy. 'Til next time. |
Flamedancer33 2008-04-23 . chapter 7Oi! A response to my review? This be a novel new experience and immature little Flame is naturally gonna poke it with a sharp stick.
My rule is that if a story makes me laugh more than groan by the end of chapter one I'll read it. I can't honestly say why I picked this one but I can say I don't regret it. And don't worry too much about the grammar; bad grammar literally pains me, to the point that the little fuckers in my English class butchered the language just to see me twitch.
For some reason the Steiner= defunct furniture line had me just laughing my ass off. Thank god it's an all-night campus library, which means no one around to call the cops on me. With any luck I'll be getting a new laptop soon, so I can cackle as much as I want without the threat of straightjackets.
Quok is adorable in the Qu's odd frog-whore ways, and Daisy is a good deal braver than me. Had I seen that thing headed my way I'd be makin' tracks back to the Evil Forest, gibbering like a ninny.
On the subject of Muus, are you going to put the hated Friendly Monsters in this? Just curious, no need to do so if you haven't, as I personally loathed trying to find them only to have it be that frigging game show host thing. |
Flamedancer33 2008-04-23 . chapter 8Normally I don't go for SI's, because generally they're all horrible, but this was oddly amusing. There were several places where I laughed out loud, which is bad as I'm in a public library. Some of the earlier chapters had a bit of dodgy grammar but a friend once made me promise on pain of death to not be totally obsessive about that stuff. Still, it's a very good story, with a believeable non-stereotpical OC and canon characters acting like themselves.
On a completely irrelevent side note, the British vastly amuse me, although I'm fairly sure you find us Americans to be quaint little monkeys.
Anyways, onward! |
