I sought this out while enduring Full Circle withdrawal symptoms and it hasn't helped much! OK that sounds wrong...what I mean is it just makes it harder to wait for more Jake and Heather developments!
Reading this now, in light of Johnston's awful demise, makes it unbearably poignant. His love for Jake positively sings from the dialogue you've given him.You're amazing! Aww, you've made me go all mushy!

I've just started reading Jericho fan fiction (I'm currently a Stargate Atlantis ff writer) and your story is far better than any I've checked out.

You've written Jake's emotional confusion very well and the conversation between him and his father is excellent. Looking forward to more Jake/Heather stories from you.

Johnston is right, Jake was really stupid to let Heather go like that, without telling her how he feels. I dont like the respectless way Jonhston talks to Jake in the show, but I knoe he really wants the best for his son. And we all know that Heather is the best for Jake. ;)
