Wow, this is great! It's very realistic an well written. I could easily visualize the scene playing out in my mind. I love how you use the tension. Would Harry go and rescue the family that has been horrible to him his whole life? I like how it's left unclear. That underlying question will probably haunt both him and Vernon for a long time. Thank goodness he never has to decide.

Hmm... wouldn't that be an interesting one-shot: after the Dursleys refuse to leave Privet Drive Harry learns that they are being held hostage and he must make the decision. Does he help them; they who have treated him horribly for his entire life and refused to leave despite his warnings? Or should he leave them to their fate?

Anyways, excellent fict. A great read!

This is a personal opinion but i think his hero complex would make him, that or he would imagine dumbledore telling him that not coming back would be the wrong thing to do. good oneshot.
