2009-12-11 . chapter 36
You know Rannva its pretty rude to reccommend someone else's story in this story. 'Burbank Confession' sucked.

And I dont think TMWS would appreciate you telling everyone to read someone eles story especially in his review section. It's pretty obvious that he works ** this. Besides how do you know if he has finished the next chapter or not; as far as I can tell he never talks to anyone. I have sent him several messages here and on deviantart asking permission to do some pictures based on his story and he never responds.

That being said, I agree that it has been far to long since the last update. He should have posted another chapter by now or at least left a authors note saying when he does intend to post. It has been a very long time. He used to update one a month. He's got the most popular story in this section, probably the entire site and since he posted it, he has an obligation to his readers to make updates in a timely fashion.

So, Middle Warner Sibling, when do you intend to update?

To answer all those that's impatient; A new chapter is on it's way. It needs to go trough the Beta too.

And The Middle Warner Sibling has had other things on her mind these last months, which, everybody who has a hobby should know, takes the inspiration away many times. Go and re-read the chapters and discover things you didn't see the first time. Go on deviantart and look at the fanart based by "Family". Go and read "Friends" one more time. I also recommend you to read "Burbank Confession", to keep you occupied, it's a very good fic.

And to people who complain as if it's their right to have a fresh flow of chapters; You can't have much of a life if you get mad over fanfictions not being updated. Fanfictions is fun to read, and some of them is incredible stories! A good fanfiction can be the highlight of my day sometimes; But I can't depend on them always being my highlight. I have my paintings, friends and so many other things for that. 90% of the fanfictions I've read have been abadoned; I've never complained to the author once, because it wasn't the authors choice to have me reading it, I choose it myself.

Now I have to go to my acrylics before they dries up on me! See ya another day!

I've got to say, this and Friends are two of my most favorite Animaniacs stories on this site. I'll really looking forward to when you get the next chapter(s) up.

Damn. You put me to SHAME, as this is the best fanfiction I've ever read, hands down. Kudos to your spectacular style and patience, and the frickin' length of the chapters! Brilliant work, and you'd best keep writing!

Ok, I'm just going to say this. You are a gifted writer! I can literally put in a random chapter (Which I wouldn't recomend doing; this story is good so you'll want to read all the way through) and I can treat it as an individual story. I don't know if that was the intention, but you pull it off quite nicely.

We actually have the same way of thinking about the Warners. Before I read your story, I wrote dark fics too. (Of course, I never added drugs to their childhoods or anything, I mostly talked about the abuse; so you're much better at it.)and I always had Spielberg in as an actual character. You keep it all Animaniacs while having your own style to make it stand on it's own. That's really hard to do. This story get's ten out of five stars from me!

What I like best about this fanfiction is that it shows toons in a different light, showing that they have problems like real people. If I were to write a fanfiction about Animaniacs, I certainly wouldn't write a fanfiction like this one, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying it.

You have made me fall in love with my childhood cartoons again.
I ran into this story in a very interesting way. I was bored and couldn't find any good fanfiction in my old fandoms. My little sister was watching some episodes of the Animaniacs (I have them on tape) and I said to my self 'Why not? At least that fanfic will be hilariously bad instead of just plain bad.'
But no.
This story had me hooked from the first line. Maybe it's just because I'm a sucker for abuse stories with strong and determined children, or maybe it was my relief at not having to read through another fluffy romance, but I loved it. Soon, nearly an hour was gone, my little sister was asleep and I had just finished the first chapter. I stayed up reading until 4 am and didn't get even close to halfway through. I fell asleep in math class the next day. It was worth it.
You have made my favorite cartoons so real. I can feel Yakko's determination as he raies his siblings in the worst home ever, Wakko's fright that his friend wouldn't be able to understand his sickness, and Dot's passion for everything she does.
If I am correct, you also made up most of the toon theory. I knew about hammerspace before I read this, but the ideas were just so expanded. It really made me think about all those little moments in cartoons that we pass off as just something 'cartoony'. I had never thought how it could maybe apply if toons were real life, although I have toyed around with the idea of meeting the Loony Toons every once and awhile. I always asumed it was something that came naturally to toons.
Personally, as I am also a fan of the Loony Toons and Merrie Melodies, the integration of the characters in the plot and how alive the seem as well took my breath away. Bugs is smart and sarcastic and kind and funny and everything I know he would be if he was real. Him becoming a father figure and mentor to Yakko was divine. The story would not have been nearly the same without it, and it was wonderful.
I will never watch another Animaniacs, or hell, another WB cartoon ever again without musing on your story. I feel like I know all of them personally.
I'm not sure about this, but I think Iread somewhere in here that you are majoring in animation. If so, I know you will become great. With your penchant for characterization and the many funny moments you put in here, a cartoon version of this would be great. If you ever make any cartoons, it would be a joy to watch them.

O.O all I can say is...wow. my writing pales in comparison to yours. *sits in emo corner* I'm going to watch people getting their limbs torn off by animals (cheers me up when I'm in an emo mood).

Despite my totally loving this story, I do have to say that I wasn't too happy with your "horse show" scene. First off; it is not called a performance but a "class"

You were doing better when you began to talk about the dressage. I compete in dressage classes and take it very seriously, but as I read, I felt that you did not achive how hard dressage actally is. You have to sit a certin way at all times to obtain a "seat" so you look good and are safe in saddle. I am not going to go into much detail about how to obtain this, because it would take too long, but you should know that you are expected to remain in position as you complete a usually difficult pattern given to you by the judge, and it is much harder than it seems when you have all eyes on you, it's extremely nerve-racking as you grip your reins which is like a cable line right to your horse's mouth who is feeling all of your anticipation which makes it nerve- racking for both. It takes hours upon hours in the practice arena to teach your horse (and yourself) the things needed to know in order to do well in dressage. I felt that you did not write enough about how hard Dot would have to actually work to obtain the thrid place ribbion, and how getting third place should feel like an accomplishment because you worked so hard, not everyone feels this way, but I do.

Other than that you did okay, but I suggest that you research the riding event and the hard work that is dedicated by both horse and rider in order to actually place. =)

I usually take the approach that "toons don't age unless they're made to", but I have to say this is a highly original, interesting, captivating story that makes me want to keep reading on.

Sorry to hear about your ankle. I hope you get better soon.
Excellent chapter. I loved the part near the end with Yakko and Kit looking at the photographs of Ariel and Jasmine.
It's nice that Yakko and Kit are getting along better with Darkwing. I really liked the meeting with Darkwing and the others. Very well written. I'll be looking forward to the next chapter.
