DetBarb 2008-02-08 ch 4, anon.	abuseAnother rivetting chapt. What a pity that Sam is pulling rank on him again. I think that Phil is solo ing again is also because of his annoyance/hurt re being broken up with. Wish she could see she wrong.
DetBarb 2008-02-08 ch 3, anon.	abuseVery interesting chapt. I forgot to mention ch 2 Im glad that she acknowledges that she is still in love with him. Excellent. Here Im glad to see that she realises that time away from Phil hasnt worked. Also excellent. I love how her thoughts are moving from her arrival back at the nick on her return and she sees Stu. Not at all happy to see him. Also excellent. I love that when she first sees Phil she realises that she is totally screwed - that being away definately hasnt worked. I hope that she eventually realises/decides that she is wrong about her decision to break up with Phil.
DetBarb 2008-02-08 ch 2, anon.	abuseBrilliant 2nd chapt.!! Im glad that Sam is still questioning her decision to break up with Phil. All she has to do is to perhaps talk to Jo and or Gina - maybe even Terry. Someone who will get her to discuss her feelings for the past 5 years, and where she is now, and get her to change her mind and get back with him. Yes Sam needs Phil. He's not any man, he's her soul mate and she really shouldve given him more of a chance to prove his love/fidelity. Another fantastic fic Laura!

I like how you've organised the layout for this story - the way her thoughts are taking her from the time she broke up with Phil to trying to get through the first night without him - and the symbols being the leftover washing up from breakfast being in lots of 2 and because she decided to break up with him she is back to 1 again, then she breaks a cup - symbolising her broken heart. Then the movies on tv. She cant get away from remembering Phil - and his scent is on the pillow still. Then she tries to sleep and all she can see is him.

And I always think that you should be an adviser to the writers re her characterisation because you have it down to a T. In fact they should employ you as her head writer - then we Huxons would be very happy. Im looking forward to the next installment. Excellent as always Laura.

This is set from the ep when a figure from Sam's past comes back - ep is set after she became DI. Sam tried to reign Phil in after he went on another solo excursion. Sam pulls rank on Phil. And questions if she can trust him. (she has just put a red flag to a bull after shooting herself in the foot personally/romantically).

I love this story too, in the sense that it's entirely from Sam's POV and I like that about it because you do write Sam's thought so brillantly (as I discovered when it came to writing our joint fic) not that I didn't realise that before.
