Loved Kaoru's realization that she didn't have to warn Kenshin to be what he always is. He just can't help being kind, even when he's being a bit mischievous.

I like how you built the tension creating a sense of worry for what I assumed to be Kenshin the cold and wet wanderer only to let the air out of the balloon and turn it into a sweet homecoming. Very nice.

I love to read moments like this, after the adventures are over and Our Valiant One has begun to relax into normal life a bit. This one is particularly heartwarming, and made me smile all the way through. I, too, at first took this for a wandering years fic, and started to tense a bit at what it was that could have been the "reason he pressed on"--what a delight to find that he was running _toward_ something for a change!
