Love it! You really can't find a lot about dear old Ron.

This was great. I love Ron Wilson and you really brought him to life in this one. Well done!

Oh I love this!
The various roles played by the canon characters were well intertwined into this anecdote- and I thought the "Hero's hero" line was kind of cute.
I can see why this won the comp ;)

Hm. How do the teachers pick the citizen for 'Save the Citizen'? Three huzzahs for Ron Wilson!

*blinks* I’ll admit I’m surprised. I sauntered over to see who won the secrets challenge, and had arched an eyebrow when I saw that it involved Ronald Wilson (*grins* I tend to play favorites, and he never really made my list).

That being said though … I was actually really surprised at your writing style. It was an amazing one-shot deserving of contest victory. The writing style seemed a bit formal … but had a powerful plot, backed by very strong characterization of one of the more minor characters of Sky High. Furthermore I liked how Steve Stronghold got to be the hero … As much as Ron tried … he was still constrained by his own normalcy … through from that event he finds the courage to go and find his “hero”.

Long story short is … Congrats. You wrote an amazing piece with argumentivly one of the most ignored characters of the Sky High fandom. And it was a delight to read

Excellent - a Ron Wilson story! Really wasn’t expecting that, so instant thumbs up for originality!

So… they *did* use real citizens in Save the Citizen practice, eh? I really liked how you filled out Ron’s character here, so desperate to please his superpowered parents that he was willing to give up a good friend, despite knowing how objectionable their views are, but finding the courage in the end to stand up to them. No flashy, Stronghold-type heroics from good ol’ Ron, but he was heroic nonetheless.

You conveyed Ron’s feeling of helplessness during the game very well. I was pleased that you didn’t have him save the day single-handedly in some implausible manner and I especially liked the bit about Baron Battle - it was a lovely touch.

Great! Thanks for entering!

This was really good. It was interesting and insightful to see Ron in his own oneshot. I also how you incorperated the idea that Baron Battle isn't really bad. :-D

A nice piece, I really enjoyed this. Nice and sensitive portrayal of Ron and I liked the way Steve and Baron both helped to save the citizen, and the way that what really mattered to Ron in that moment was that he loved her.
