I like that you had a little sexual tention in there as well though. You portrayed it very well, it was like i could see it all happening. Sorry for the sporatic review, i'm quite tired but this story was so good i thought i should really leave a review to show my apreciation for it's creation! Thank you for a great fic! |

His deep introspection when sitting at Alexander's bedside rings true, he might actually have felt and thought just like this. It's so very sad, he is crying not only for the actual alaming situation, but for a whole life of troubles, and the closeness and friendship he can never return to, since Alexander has become to *great* for this. | Euripides 2007-08-08 ch 1, | abuseIt is always a joy to see a new story of yours on the list, and even more of a joy when it's of a length that you can really get your teeth into. I haven't read Alexander fanfiction *properly* in far too long, and this piece was perfect in helping me recall just why I should be here. Hephaestion was wonderful, I loved the way you depicted him as being strong and resolute on the outside, and inside hearbroken. It matches so well with what Hephaestion could have been like, and I love it when that happens. 'leave him or lose him seemed the only choice he had' seems to sum up their relationship perfectly. It is a pity that Hephaestion must always be Alexander's equal (not that I believe he wasn't) but because it seems he values Alexander's love on that plain only. Lovely stuff, and want to see more soon ^_^ |
