renniespice 10/10/07 . chapter 17 I loved it andlook forward to your next one |
lauriena 10/10/07 . chapter 17 hehe, the way john just dealt with chubbys reanimation by shooting him 18times, definatly can see where dean gets his charm of dealing with bad guys from Sam sitching up deans neck and shoulder was a great twist on the whole thing, and sam being excited he had done it and john being the one to say sorry to dean, what a role reversal i do like sam sorta shifting his few on dean and seeing him willing to give up a place he loved for sam and then sam willing to do the same for dean |
dladyg 10/10/07 . chapter 17 That was a great story. Thank you so much for writing and sticking with it. I found the first part of your story early on and then lost it. I found it again today and was so pleased to see it completed. I enjoyed it tremendously. |
dudeedaisy 10/10/07 . chapter 17That was really good! I loved the journey that sam went on, how he grew up and began to to understand things more from deans perspective at the end. i thought it was an exciting story you managed to keep me in supense most ofthe time i didnt know what was going to happen next, which was great! your characterisations were well thought out as well. so well done and i look forward to reading more of ypur work in the future! all the best dudeedaisy xx |
Raynidreams 10/9/07 . chapter 17Dispite how good all the action has been in this, the description of John's ever increasing self isolation is even better. I think Dean's little bit about being there for his dad goes a long way to explaining why he had his back while Sam was at Stanford. Secondly, I also loved Sam choosing Dean's favourite place, and how he has grown by the circumstances too. Great story! |

mustbekarma 10/9/07 . chapter 17 And Keith for the win! Somehow it doesn't surprise me that Dennis just turned his back and walked away. As the saying goes, with friends like that, who needs enemies? John doesn't need any stinking friends, except for Bobby, Pastor Jim, and the people Kripke actually mentioned season one. I loved the line from Jim to Sam about fitting in. I bet Keith runs like hell the day he turns 18 and never looks back. I adore how Sam ignored John and called Pastor Jim. Sam matured so much in this story, especially choosing to go to Bluffdale to make Dean happy. John's still an ass, but it's understandable. With "friends" who will cut your throat in a heartbeat, it's nearly impossible to trust anyone. I still believe there's a reason John kept Sam and Dean isolated from most of the hunters, and this story provided a great explanation for that. The only thing I have to complain about is that Dennis didn't die. However, if there's a sequel, I'd like to see Keith team up with the boys, and maybe Dennis could suffer something really horrible then. It doesn't even have to be death, just something totally horrific and humiliating. Hint. Hint. |
astalder27 10/9/07 . chapter 17Aww! I am totally in love with this story, Im so sad its over! John talk on not trusting anyone but family- pure Winchester stubborness and pride! LOL! Terrific job, I cant wait for another story (hint hint..) |
lelann37 10/9/07 . chapter 17i love how sam calls for help with jim even though no one else would...and how you give insight as to why dean always sticks with john. loved the fic! |
Shania 10/9/07 . chapter 17 I just foudn this story and read it all in one sitting. Sammy really didn't learn his lesson, did he? He was just as bratty at the end as he was in the beginning. I thought he was going to do something to show Dennis he wasn't but he didn't and it was kind of fitting since Dennis was right about Sam. I do feel so bad for Dean for having to put up with Sam and its a good thing for Sam that John made Dean look after him and that Dean is afraid of disobeying his father because I don't think Dean would want to on his own. Maybe John should have left Sam with Dennis for a bit so that Sam would see how good he had it. ALthough I think Dennis would have fixed Sam's attitude. I was happy that Sam did think about Dean for once at the end and pick somewhere Dean would like to go for a change. Dean is right Sam is selfish. I love Dean. He is just such a perfect big brother. |
Lilly B 10/9/07 . chapter 17great job with the last chapter! i really enjoyed reading your story...it was very exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat. i'm glad that the winchesters all turned out to be ok, and that john and jim reconnected at the end. i think what dennis did was pretty nasty though, but some people are just like that. again, great job with the chapter! i'm glad you are feeling better...it sucks to be sick! |
Susan82 10/9/07 . chapter 17Aw, it's over! I was kind of hoping Sam & Dean would get a little long-winded, and force a few extra chapters out of you. Oh well. So long, Trevor! I was happy/sad to see him go. I shared Sam's emotions about his little ghostly friend. I was suckered into liking Trevor in the beginning, just like Sam, and was equally shocked and ticked off at Trevor's betrayl. But he did have such a rough life, a lonely life. I agree with Sam...poor Trevor. It's too bad Trevor and Chubby didn't have a go at the Gervich's. That Dennis needs a good a**-whumping, although I suppose Keith gets a pass for leaving behind the cell phone, especially since it led to one of my favorite parts of the chapter. Sam ignoring John and telling him to wait while he went ahead and called Jim...lol! I just love it when he defies his dad. And how cute was he after stitching up Dean? The kid was literally bouncing with excitement. I'm glad Jim came back, especially with that last horrible conversation between himself and John still in the air. Good thing Jim's a forgiving man. I loved getting into Dean and Sam's heads as they seperately made their declarations to their family. Dean realizing how truly alone John is and vowing to be the rock in his father's life, and Sam realizing a small portion of how much Dean has sacrificed for him. Sam giving up his own happiness for Dean's was so touching. On the road again with the Winchesters. A very fitting ending ("ending...:sob!:) to a fantastic story. I dare say this my favorite story that you've written...or at least tied with A Look Inside, which is my favorite story, period. I can see I'll be rereading this one many, many, many times. ) -Susan |
