You definitely have a way with words. I love the descriptions and how the thoughts and scenes all flow together.

I never really liked Molly much, because she can be quite pushy when she wants to, but reading this made me realize that she is quite an ideal mother, really. And the perfect person to talk to Remus in this case. Kudos!

What a lovely, quiet story. I absolutely love the metaphors and the way a turn of phrase comes back unexpectedly with a different meaning (Molly going on and on like the fire; burnt cocoa turning bitter, but just waiting for a touch of sweetness and care to be brought back to life, like Remus). You captured so much of his weariness and disappointment -- I liked the line early on when he reflected on what happiness means to him now, as opposed to what it meant in his childhood - now it's "irony and bemusing misfortunes." That line just fit him so well. You really painted a beautiful character portrait with this, and in passing reminded me how wonderful Molly Weasley can be. She's everyone's mother, isn't she?

My favorite characters in the Harry Potter series have always been Lupin and Snape -- what a delight it is to find an author who writes them both so brilliantly! Thank you!

I really liked this story... it was so sweet and honest. You could really feel what Remus must have been feeling, so excellent job on that. I like your writing style. I can't really say why just yet (I'll figure it out eventually) but something about the way you write is very captivating. Good job!
