I can't really find the words to explain how I felt reading this story. It was so beautiful and perfect, and captured the very essence of a tragic love. Gah. I don't know. I really can't put it into words.
Absolutely stunning story :).

This is very well written. Good imagery and nice cultural details. The plot and feel to the story definitely has an east-asian flavour to it, especially on the use of musical instruments, symbolism and poetry. The tragic ending is fitting and dare I say it, typical of asian romances. The story is good enough to stand as original fiction and should.

Now, some comments, which I hope will not offend you. My first impression is deja-vu. Akizuki's story is rather close to a drama on Korean Geisha Hwang Jini. Not saying you copied it or anything bad. Just the impression.

Secondly, Tezuka's death is rather sudden and forced. Which I feel, is a weak point in the plot. Someone of his caliber and intelligence, on high alert for treachery, won't be caught off-guard so easily.

Akizuki's death is beautifully written. A good mix of drama, action and emotions. Tragic without cloying exaggerated melodrama.

wow, I can't help but reread this story again and again. Your writing still really captures my attention. I love how their love is the same time subtle but passionate nonetheless, and the way you describe their interactions and their thoughts when they are away from each other is like pieces of a puzzle fitting wonderfully together, and the way you led the story up until the point of climax is simply amazing. ^__^ I hope I can write like this someday, thank you so much for the wonderful fanfic!

aw... I loved this fic. But do you think you can create an alternate ending where Fuji and Tezuka lives happily after ever as well?

Ah...that truly was astounding and beautiful. Really touches the soul. It's written so elegantly and the poetry is such a flowing language! It's as if the whole story were a song...graceful words. Really love your writing. The ending is rather sad...but that's the beauty of it. Keep it up! Good work...

Ok, whoever calls this angst should read Romeo and Juliet. Of course this is a better story, no offence to Shakespeare.

even if they did have to die,I was hoping that they would at least meet one last time like in rurouni kenshin where kaoru and kenshin met 1 last time time before kenshin died.Luved your story,it was so descriptive but so much angst T_T

This story is so beautiful, and so well written. All the details seem so authentic (no matter how many times you say they might not be), and even though this is AU, they are so, so in character.

Amazing job; but I would have absolutely LOVED to read more about Akizuki and the Kyoto Tiger.

Most beautiful story I've heard in a while. When I read yuor story I thought, this is like Winter Cicada and Memoirs of a Geisha put together. I recently broke free from my Death Note rut but after reading yours, I was suddenly reminded of all the good authors like you who write Death Note fictions. They were very well-versed in the area they write in and they did a lot of research on it too. Well-done! :D
