OK, so i like the story and the random scenes and such... but i think you need to work on description. you are writhing this as if you are writing a film. you need to go more story like. try taking actions out of italics and putting spoken words in "s. then just lengthen the actions with descriptions of feelings and emotion such as;

he walked sluggishly to the door, reluctant to admit Edward.
